Is anyone planning on attending the pet expo next weekend in Edison?

I have never been but hear its really good

when is it???

we went one year and it was very crowded.

are you going? we went and it was super crowded. people were just touching romeo and it irritated me. i had to carry him and we were getting bumped. the stuff was regular priced.

Since its a "pet" expo, people act like they can just walk up to anyone's dog and touch them without asking:thumbdown. Last year I had my boys in a cart, random people would touch them when I walked by, which I found very annoying since Harley was uncomfortable as it is. It was crowded, the vendors were stingy on the food samples, the merchandise and prices were the same that you could get in stores or online.

i agree. plus ...i felt scared in their badly lit parking lot.

we've never been to pet expo so we are going to go check it out this sunday. :) It's not a far drive from the city so it's a plus.:)

I went a couple weeks ago in Maryland and it was great. They tell you unless you are getting pics done they recommend you dont bring your pups. People do come up to your dogs but I did not have anyone come up and just start touching. The people were very nice and all asked before touching my dogs. I went because I am working on figuring out what allergy foods my dog will eat before I buy a HUGE bag of something that will go to waste. I took a backpack with me and by the time I left I had a backpack full of samples of different kinds of foods. I spoke to knowledgeable vendors and found some neat toys for the pups. It does get crowded and its best to go right when it opens and take your time to look at all the vendors. You can find some really neat stuff. I got my dogs cloth harnesses from the Dachsund vendor and I love them. They were EXPENSIVE but worth it. Honestly, its alot of work to bring your dogs and look at everything going on. They have demo areas for agility, some have pools, some have daycare for the dogs while you shop (I would never, but they do).
I guess what I am getting at is that I had a great time the first year without them and a great time with them. The convenience of them being with you is so they are there to "try things on" like the harness I bought last year. Without them you have more freedom to shop and browse. Yorkie rescue has been at the ones I have gone to and the pups are SOOOOO cute. You can expect people to want to pet your pups, they are irresistable, and if you have issues with this its probably best to leave them home. My pups and I don't mind the attention and we had a ball.

Duke and I went last year with my sister and we had a good time. Great place to look for products in person if you've been shopping around for something specific.
We went a bit later on in the day so it wasn't so crowded but people were polite in asking if they can pet Duke.
We won't be able to go this year as momma is out of town this weekend :(

I am planing on going on saturday, weather permitting.. I will see if I can take my dog stroller in the show with the girls..

I am going on Sunday. I will be bring Bella with me since she goes everywhere. In addition to her I will have my kids which is more work than my Bella

I want to go. Maybe tomorrow.

I ended up going today. I loved did. Got lots of samples of some goodfood. The had nice clothes for the fur babies. Also nice pretty bows for her hair.

Why are these bows sooo expensive everywhere I go. I think I\'m going to start making my own.

There were lots of friendly dogs. Mia was in love with all the Great Danes. She looked like a mouse next to them.

Who else went ???? What was your experience???
