Hello, I to am from CT, what part of CT are you from and where did you find your little one..... |
wow, so glad to find out there actually is someone from CT! I live in Middlefield near Lyman Orchards and teach in West Hartford. My yorkie is a 5 mo old girl. She just got spayed Thu and has been resting alot. I am so in love with her! Tell me about you and your yorkie. Bonnie |
Hi! I'm in Connecticut too; Bristol. Bella will be 6 months old on Sept 9th. She was born a California girl. |
help! Hi all, Just wondering if any of you Connecticut-ers can tell me where you found your little ones? I am in NYC and am desperately searching for a puppy! Thank!!! Karen |
I'm not going to be a lot of help... I got her from a friend of a friend in California. |
would you be interested in meeting for a CT yorkie playdate at a local park or somewhere. Cocoa has never had the opportunity to play with another yorkie? Bonnie |
I'm think Bella would love it! I'm sure she misses her mom/brother/sister since I brought her home. PetSmart told me they have puppy play time, but there is never anyone there at those times-or at least when I go there isn't. |
I am from Plainville originally so that area might be a great location to meet. There is also a park down here in Middlefield that is great for dogs. When is the puppy group at Petco, maybe we could meet there? There is another woman from West Hartford who wrote back to me on Yorkie talk who might come too. I am not sure how to contact each other directly on here but maybe we could exchange phone numbers to figure out meeting place. I am a teacher with kids of my own so life is busy. A weekend would be best for me but I might be able to make a weeknight work. Look forward to hearing from you. I have always wanted to see Cocoa,6th months old, 5 pounds, get teh opportunity to play with someone her own size. Her dog friends are all much bigger than her! Bonnie and Cocoa |
I work fulltime so evenings & weekends are best for me too. Bella will be 6 months old on 9/9/08 & weighs 4.5lbs. She will be MIA for a while after the 15th; she will be getting spayed that day. PetSmart 278 New Britain Ave Plainville, CT 06062 Puppy Play Time: Thursdays @ 5:15pm & Sundays @ 3:00pm |
Petco sounds perfect. I could do Thu , sept 11 or sun, Sept 14. Are either of those good? Cocoa just got spayed and she great after sleeping all day for 2 days. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks, Bonnie and Cocoa |
We can do the Thursday Sept. 11th. We will see you there. Sandy & Bella |
Cool! This will be so cute to watch them play! They are the same age and weight. We will see u at 5:15 on Thursday. Bonnie and Cocoa |
Hi, I'm from Clinton, Connecticut and have a 6 month old female Yorkie named Piper. She weighs about 5 pounds and has the sweetest personality. |
Hi Kathleen from Clinton and welcome to YorkieTalk. Cocoa is 7 months and about 4 lbs. She also has a great sweet, east going personality. This is my first dog since I was a kid and I have fallen in love with this breed. How did you decide to get a yorkie ? Bonnie |
Hi, Piper is not my first Yorkie. I had a male , Chipper, for 13 years. Last winter I had to make the difficult decision to put him down because he was suffering from bladder cancer. I said that I wouldn't get another but I cried every day for my little guy and decided that the only way I was going to move on was to get another Yorkie. That was the best thing I ever did. Piper is so different than Chip but just as delightful. Chipper will always have a large piece of my heart but Piper has wiggled her way in and I love her as much as I did him. |
I'm new here and just saw your post. I have a three yr old yorkie and we bought him at privately owned pet store called Puppy Luv in Danbury CT. I've been there a few times and they always have a few very cute yorkies in the shop. I hope this helps. |
Any pictures? :D |

Mitzidad Hi, I'm new to YT. I am the proud pop of Mitzi - a 13 week old female. She is absolutely gorgeous. She has brought so much joy and love into my life. My parent's both have health issues and I have taken her to visit twice. She is turning out to be quite the therapy dog; you should see their faces light up when she gives them kisses. Sometimes I catch myself just watching her sleep - - - sigh. I live in Westbrook. |
Kathleen Spreng Mitzi is from Westbrook and is 13 weeks. She weighs 3 pounds. She is a cutie.:animal-pa |
Hi, Welcome to YT. I'm Kathleen Spreng and I live in Clinton. My Piper is 8 months and weighs 5lbs. She also is a real cutie. I sent you a PM. |
Mitzidad Mitzi had a hard day. She had to clean the house, chase the cats and she is now napping in the sun. She is doing pretty good, I guess, at potty training. I use the crate method, but only at night or when I can't watch her every moment. This area is plagued with coyotes and now fisher cats! Last summer, there was one in our fish pond. I go to Killingworth Animal Hospital and they have told me horror stories about fisher cat and pets. Please, be careful with your baby - at all times. Mitzi is going on a field trip this afternoon to East Haven. A good friend of mine will be watching her next Wednesday; I'm already missing her. :aimeeyork |
I'm not from there, but wanted to say welcome. |
I live on River Road in Clinton. Killingworth is a little less than a mile down the road. I have seen a fisher in my back yard last year and I always see coyotes at the river. I never let my little one run loose and she always has somebody watching her when she is in her outdoor pen. You also have to look out for the hawks. I go to the Clinton Veterinarian Hospital. I've been going there for 30 years and have been very happy with them. I have heard very good things about the Killingworth Hospital. |
