Tipping Dog Walkers Hey, I am in need of some advice on tipping etiquette when it comes to dog walkers as this will be my first experience with a dog walker. I hired a dog walked for next week as i will be on vacation. My boyfriend is not going on the trip with me but works long hours. He will take them on their morning walk, and he will be home with them at night- and the dog walker that I hired will walk them once or twice a day. For those of you that have dog walkers, what is the protocol for tipping? I already paid her her charge for the week. Thanks for the advice! :animal-pa |
I've never used a dog walking service...but is this the "walker's" business or are they employed by a company. If they're the owner...I wouldn't tip...they're getting the entire fee. If it's an employee I'd tip...20% as they are only getting a portion of the fee. |

That's what I would do also. |
The owner walks my dog. I don't tip b/c I feel her fee is outrageous. ($20 @ walk) I will give a very generous christmas tip. |
