That's what I was thinking. For people who live in NJ would be easier to go through Lincoln Tunnel. Just crossing through avenues in the city would be probably pain in the butt because the dog run is on the east side, but hey you never know ;)

I actually think the Holland tunnel or Lincoln Tunnel would be the best and then the "west side highway uptown". the 72nd street exit is closed so I guess you would have to get off one exit before (Ithink it's 55th or 62nd street) or one exit after (I think 86th st) not sure of exact street numbers of the exits. But any way west side highway and riverside drive is much easier than the city streets.

There is a public restroom in the park. The RR is locasted near the street East End Ave. The run is in the park at the river.

I'd love to go but I just found out that the Puerto Rican Day Parade is next week so I am sure traffic is going to be terrible so I don't think I will go. I hope you guys have another meet up before the summer is over.

aw hell. didn't know it was that same day. I think I may just end up skipping this meetup, and go to the next one. I really don't want to deal with the excess traffic and crowds around the city that day.

what route is the parade? i honestly don't think its near where we are going. and if your taking mass transit there shouldn't be a problem

We will be there......Bryan doesn't get to socialize with other Yorkies.....We've only met 2 in the 7weeks that I've had him. I'm originally from NYC just moved to south jersey at the end of March

So who's going?? What day is the parade? The parade is usually on 5th avenue and it's craziness on that day, but i dont think that's near carl shurz park...:confused: anyone know?

Oh wow I didnt realize that there will be parade on June 8th :( I dont know should we just have the meetup for the june 22 as we had for the rainy day? I know it will be crazy in the city on the parade and I really dont want anyone feel stressed out. I cannot believe that I didnt realize the parade is on June 8th!

I know I will not be able to make it because we were planing to drive in. I had no idea the parade was on the same day either. I would love for the date to be changed to the 22nd :D but if people are still able to make it out on the 8th then maybe you can just go for it. I dont want the date to be changed if most people will still be going regardless of the parade. whatever you decide just let me know, I will def be there if its the 22nd :)

The parade goes up 5th Avenue. The East side by the river should be quiet.

How about having 2 meetups? For those who are still willing to go this Sunday, the 8th, then that\'s fine but for those of us who don\'t want to risk it then we can meetup on the 22. What do you think?
