Destination Disneyland Destination Disneyland Can I take my fur baby on vacation to Disneyland? Disneyland does not have overnight boarding. They do have kennels available for over night. They are not able to take any pet under 4 months of age and must have the following vaccinations rabies, distemper, hepatitis and leptospirosis(double check on this one(Lepto), I did not think anyone was using it because of so many reactions). The web site says that is required by Orange County. Update on the Lepto vaccine. I just checked with my vet 5-04-07, they said that they can give it, if it is required but, that they are giving it by itself, they will not give it with the distemper, rabies vaccine. http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disn...esGSDetailPage You need to copy and paste the above url but it will take you right there. |
How old is your baby? if she is under 4 months that sounds too many for such a small yorkie. I'm sorry, I don't know the difference between overnight boarding and overnight kennels.....aren't they the same??? Give us more detail of what your looking for and maybe we can help you search. Disneyland is in Anaheim and we have a lot of YT members in that area and surrounding areas. |
Are you sure about the hepatitus? That sounds like something for humans I have never heard of that for dogs. |

I was posting more of a statement for people that are looking to go to Disneyland. Thank you for catching my error with the overnight boarding and overnight kennels. Disneyland doesn't offer any overnight boarding/kennels. Only day visits. |

My dad stayed at Ft. Wilderness and brought their dog! It's more of the "campground" side of Disney... they have RV's, log cabins, etc. I don't know if it's the same at Disneyworld as Disneyland. |

I wouldnt leave My Mitsi in a kennel like that, it sounds really basic, Id be concerned with the lack of care. why not find a boarding place near disney world instead. Yes You would pay a bit more but Your Yorkie would be well looked after and safe |
Best Friends Best Friends opened up a great kennel at Disney two years ago and we used in October. They also offer day care, but that isn't really Prissy's thing. She had an indoor/outdoor suite so she could go to the bathroom whenever she wanted. However, they called me after her first day there and told me that she wasn't using her outdoor patio and suggested that I add more walks to her package. We also went to see her twice a day. The first time we went to see her after we brought her there, she tried to bring me back to her room to see it--it was so sweet. She seemed to tolerate it well. We had never used a kennel before so I was very nervous. The staff were awesome as well! I would highly recommend Best Friends at Disney! |
