Can I take my fur baby on vacation to Walt Disney World? Absolutely!

The on property resorts do not allow pets. However, Disney does have the most wonderful kennels right there outside of each gate entrance at all 4 theme parks.

They have overnight & just visiting for the day accomedations.

Pet Care Kennels are located adjacent to the Park entrances at Epcot®, Disney-MGM Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. At the Magic Kingdom® Park the Pet Care Kennels are located adjacent to the Transportation and Ticket Center

Kennel fees are per animal, per night. Guests are required to walk and exercise their pets 2-3 times daily.

Resort reservations do not guarantee a kennel space for your pets; availability is first come, first served. No native wildlife or exotic species are allowed in the kennels. Prior to boarding, all Guests are required to show records of vaccination (for dogs: Rabies, Parvovirus, D.H.P. and Bordetella; for cats: Rabies, Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitus and calcivirus)..g

I have used these kennels and the staff is wonderful. Very clean & friendly, and air conditioned!
Make sure you have your health Cert, that shows all of the current vaccinations.

Just another opinion but a few years ago we used the kennel at Disney World for our lab. My husband is the one who took her there and picked her up every day. We were staying in our motorhome at Fort Wilderness where pets are allowed but not allowed to stay by themselves so they must be kenneled when we went to the parks. My husband told me at the end of our trip that he would never use the place again. Very crowded, very noisy, crates everywhere!. Maybe it's changed since then. Just passing along the info.

i visited the kennels to see the conditions last march 07. they were nice. i would consider leaving romeo there. keep in mind loews hotels are pet friendly. they are part of the universal park system, but disney is near by. the loews hotels are clean , dog friendly, and the porter will walk your dog. last trip we rented a house that was pet-friendly and fabulous.

I just visited Animal Kingdom last week. I left Haruka at kennel. It was actually the first time I left Haruka at kennel.... She seemed to be very comfortable there. I came to see her after 4 hours and walked her.. then left her for 4.5 hours. The lady who was there was very sweet. I felt so comfortable leaving her there. I would definitely do that agaiN! :) $10 for a day (only during the day) $15 for overnight is pretty good deal :)

I visited the kennel last year and was very dissaponited. There were two areas. One for vaccinated animals and the other for non-vaccinated. I guess it just seems so cold and impersonal. I don't know what I was expecting for my babies. I guess something that offered more comfort such as a disney resort or the Hilton.

I have boarded my 2 poms at the Ticket and Transportation Kennel by the Magic Kingdom before and after the switch from when Disney owned and operated, then last year they are operated by Best Friends Pet care.

Before the staff would not walk your dogs or even pet them. You had to go walk them 2x a day. Now, the staff will walk them, cuddle them and give them treats. But you still have to go walk them.

I have put my 2 poms Taz and Max there because we go about 4x a year. We dont let the staff walk our boys because simply, we are their parents and we love going to see them. We go about 4-5 times a day. We have NEVER had a problem there. Clean, friendly, nice, and attentive to our boys even though they put a sign that says owners only. (Taz is somewhat aggressive) One staffer even sang to my boys late at night to get them to calm down because it was 4th of July and it was full with barking and loud dogs!

The reason why it was loud to one poster is because alot of parents dont come in and walk their dogs, they leave it to the staff and the poor babies are wanting out. So, dont let that deter you from the kennels. Its not the animals fault, its the owners fault!

The staff will clean up if a dog has an accident, feed and water the dog, and just about anything you need to be done. Or you can just go walk your dog yourself. You do have options.

I have never used the kennels at Epcot, DHS, or FT Wilderness, only the TTC kennel and it is wonderful.

My boys have been there about 10 times! Hopefully if Rascal is eating well enough, he will go there January 16th!!! his First Disney trip!

I took one dog once when I attended a dog show in Orlando, and we just went for the day from our show's host hotel off property. I left my boy in the Kennel at the TTC. It was during a time when the parks were not very busy. It was like a regular boarding kennel, his crate was roomy and he was happy and comfortable. I showed proof of vaccinations and walked him myself, those were the rules at the time.

Two years ago we took several dogs in our motorhome to Fort Wilderness. We had a great time with them. Pets can stay in RVs unattended but not pop-ups or tents, just hard-sided RVs. We just made camping reservations for next September and are looking forward to it as now there is even a dog park available for them to use. When we visited 2 years ago one of my dogs was a puppy and we had a great time toting her around the pet loops and taking photos of her in her Disney gear-- a Disney T shirt, Disney Princess hat, and a stuffed Mickey Mouse toy we made from a keychain!

Here's a little more info about the Disney Kennels, for anyone who needs it. I've never used the kennels myself, but everyone on the Disney forum I'm on raves about them and gives them positive feedback.

With the exception of service dogs for Guests with disabilities, pets are not permitted in the Theme Parks or hotels, or on the Resort or Theme Park buses. They may, however, stay in one of the air-conditioned kennels, which are members of the American Boarding Kennel Association.

Pet Care Kennels, operated by Best Friends Pet Care, Inc., are located adjacent to the Park entrances at Epcot®, Disney's Hollywood Studios™ and Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. At the Magic Kingdom® Park the Pet Care Kennels are located adjacent to the Transportation and Ticket Center. An additional location may be found at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

aww he's a sweetheart . .who is this little guy? can our doggies actually go inside the park? I'd hate to leave them in a kennel all day long :p

Little guy, oh Des, -- that is PRINCESS PENNY!!! She was about 5 months old when we went. When we took a few dogs we camped in our RV at Ft Wilderness and the dogs can be walked in the dog loops there. Now you can take them on the golf carts and they also have a dog park. We are headed back in the fall. They can't go in the actual parks unless they are service animals. Our routine is to get up early, walk the dogs, feed the dogs, walk the dogs again LOL then leave them in air conditioned comfort and head off to a park for a few hours, then come back right after lunch, walk them again and hang out with them in the motorhome/campground for several hours, then feed the dog's their dinner, walk them again (they like to walk LOL) then head out for our dinner, then come home, walk again, and then head to the beach for fireworks/water parade. We go for about a week, and we have been several times, so we spend just as much time hanging out at the campground as we do at the parks... It is by far my favorite way to "do Disney."

MMMMMhmmmm Maybe it will be time to start saving up and go to disney with the fur babies. Thanks for this info I do appreciate it.
