Transatlantic flight with a puppy 5-6 month Hello all . I live between Paris and Miami and I travel it least 3 -4 times a year and having a long stays between. Does anyone travel long distance? Please any advise will be appreciated :aimeeyork |

My daughter comes to see me with her Yorkie every few months. Her baby sometimes gets airsick so the vet recommended bennedryl to help. They have a 5 hour flight so her baby sleeps most of it. She says that the Benedryl helped. Ask your vet about using this and the dosage. |
Is she piddle pad trained? When I make long distance trips with Cali I carry disposable piddle pads. We go into the restroom on the plane and she uses the pad with no problems. We started it when she was a puppy and it has really served us well on those really long trips! Have a good trip! |

the puppy is coming in the end of the month The puppy is coming in the end of the month .i was a little nervous about having a dog with the life style I have but I called I vet in Miami and he told me that many people traveling with pet our days. I'm still nervous....the flight to the u.s is 10.5 hours + the airport 3 hours ... But I see some people do it ..... |

When I have to travel long distances, especially if it means long waited to get on the plane I take a stroller along. Ask when you check in to check it at the gate and then you can use it right up until you board and it will be there when you land. Makes it easier to traverse the airport if you have a long way to walk and the pup gets to,have a little extra room after that long flight. |
Almost forgot, there is some stuff at the fabric stores they sue for babies to keep the bed dry I case the baby wets - can't remember the name - but you can curmitmto fit your carrier. I used to make 3 or 4 layer before Cali got so good at going in the plane restroom. If they do wet you can pull one oayer off and just throw it away, or put it in a sack and take it home and wash it for the next trip. It is kind of like felt on one side and vinyl on the other. It it is very soft. It is washable and can be reused. I also,used it for my geriatric Yorkie some years ago who dribbled a little bit at night in her sleep. Wish I could remember the name, but the clerks at the fabric store should know what it is. |

Hi, I fly from Lima, Peru to the United States, its about 8 hours. I got doggie diapers just in case of an accident it worked out just fine also had a pad that we used in the airport bathroom. She had no accidents so we really didn't need the diaper. Congratulations on your new baby, have fun. |
