pet friendly chains? I'll be traveling from so Cal to michigan by way of Ga this september with multiple yorkies and my 2 new beautiful biewers( thank you so,so much Dee). I really don't like making reservations . If I see something I want to do I stop. I don't want deadlines and with the dogs, and especially the puppies,I anticipate the need for frequent stops. Does anyone know of a chain that would allow more than 2 dogs? |
Sorry, I should have looked at sticky but recommendations welcome. Don't need fancy just clean and safe |
Motel 6 Super8 are two chains that allow pets. A few Best Westerns will, as well Holiday Inn Express. But these are iffy, so you will need to check ahead to see if they accept dogs. You best be prepared to safeguard the flooring of the motel with puppies and multiple dogs. It is difficult with multiple dogs for sure when you are travelling. |
LaQuinta allows pets. |

I've been told by many that I'm overprotective but I don't think that's really possible. We'll be staying with friends in ga, ky and mi so won't need hotels for the whole month. My first real vacation in years so I want to relax and do what I want to do. |
La quinta! They recently remodeled lots of their hotels it seems. Comfy, clean, free breakfast, and your pet stays for Free!! |
Residence Inns. They are set up with small kitchens too... Also handy. |
Red Roof Inn also allows dogs. When we were traveling with our 2 dachshunds we stayed there. Best of luck! |

Look for the LaQuinta Inn and Suites instead of the ones named LaQuinta. The Inn and Suites don't have doors that open into the parking lot. They have doors that open into an indoor hallway. |
Dog, Cat & Other Pet Friendly Hotels at Petswelcome.com I used to travel a lot and found that contacting a main number like the one above was easier than trying to find a hotel that will accept pets. Often I would find individual hotels did not allow pets even though many others did....Holiday Inn was like that...some would accept, some not. |

And a mention about the free breakfast! Usually you have coffee or tea, milk, juice, and sweet rolls or toast....these people lay out a spread more akin to a restaurant buffet! |
