Tink hiking in Shenandoah I haven't posted in a long time, but it is good to be back. My dh and I love to go hiking and we always take Tink with us. She usually walks, but in this photo we had put her in my dh's backpack because the trail was rocky and steep. The other photo is her enjoying the sun on the couch in our cabin. Aww!! Love her peeking out of the backpack! She's so pretty! I wanna go on an outdoor adventure with Luma now...she's such a priss, she'd make me carry her  |
Cutie pie . . . She has both of you trained well. lol |
Thanks for the nice comments. Tinkerbell has always loved going with us. She likes adventures and gets excited now when she sees me packing the suitcase. |
that is so sweet!!! glad you get to take her with you, what fun! |
That little Yorkie head sticking up out of that backpack is priceless!!! Hope she had as good as time as she seemed to be. Yorkies do love to participate in everything don't they? Tink is a little star! |
Beautiful pictures and how sweet that you take her hiking! On a different note, we were at Shenendoah briefly last fall and it was gorgeous, but unfortunately raining. |
I agree, Tink is absolutely adorable peaking out of the backpack. :) Looks like you had fun. The Shenandoah park is gorgeous. Would love to move up that direction in Virginia. Their winters are rougher than ours, however. |
Tink is too too cute!!! |

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. Tink loves to go with us everywhere. When we are hiking she usually ends up walking ahead a little with my dh, but she always turns around to make sure I am coming and makes him wait if she thinks I am too far behind...LOL... |

The Blue Ridge Parkway is spectacular. I must have had mountains on the brain when I wrote "peaking" lol. Peeking! Enjoy your trip and take lots of pictures. |
Hiking in NC 2 Attachment(s) I thought I would add a couple of photos from our North Carolina hiking trip last November. It was colder then usual so Tink had her favorite pink sweat shirt on. My dh would probably kill me if he knew I was posting this photo of him with Tink, but it is my favorite. They were both tuckered out and catching a nap before dinner. I love that Tink is such an adaptable little pooch. Where ever we happen to be is home to her. We have been going to the mountains every fall for the past 7 years, but this year my dh is deployed and in Bagram, Afghanistan so we won't be going. I am hoping we can take a trip when he gets home. |
I'm hoping to take my Elizabeth Bennet hiking in a few months. Can anyone suggest a front pack carrier? I'll be wearing a backpack so I'll need a way of carrying her in a pack on my chest. She's never been hiking before. I've never been hiking with a dog so it should be a learning experience for us both. |

Love the pictures. Praying that your husband returns safely and your adventures in the mountains continue. |
