Towels....

What does everyone do about bath towels? I could bring enough but then I'd have to do laundry :rolleyes: and I wasn't really wanting to spend my time looking for a laundrymat.

Has anyone used those disposable bath towels? And where do you get them?

Well, since I just returned from an RV adventure...I found traveling with the dogs quite easy. Although we didn't need it since it was only a 4 day trip, the RV had a washer/dryer combo. Most of the RV parks have laundry facilities on site so you shouldn't worry. Check with the one you're renting from, ours came with the "correct" toilet paper..lol

This a great thread. We travel with ours in the rv and it so much fun.

We take towels, dry them out and then take home to launder. But have not used the others. Also keep in mind an rv shower is not like a long one at home. I am sure you have already heard that one but remember.... AND ENJOY!

We have a 42 foot Monaco Camelot with four slides. When the slides are out you have a large living area. We have owned both a gas RV and now a diesel and would never own another gas RV. Just our preference. The diesel has no problems climbing mountains even with a tow vehicle. I love being able to have access to the bathroom or the ability to grab a beverage or make a sandwich without having to stop. Everything is push button so we are set up in no time at all. Park, push buttons to self level, put slides out, awings out...check...chairs out, pour wine and relax all in about 10 to 15 minutes. In fact, we're our our way home right now. I'm using a Verizon MiFi card for my internet access while we're traveling.

You might want to pick up a roll of non-slip liners. You can usually find it in the shelf liner isle at the store. It works great to put the water dish on so it won't slide across the floor while driving. Also works great on the counters for items that might slide and even in the cupboards.

Our sofa's and recliners are all leather which I love because of the dogs. You can just wipe them off with a sponge for those little doggie prints and yard waste they track in. Oh, and don't forget a vacuum cleaner if the rig doesn't have a built in vac system.

To the OP...most RV parks have either wireless or ethernet connection, cable connection for TV, showers and laundry. You may want to pack a cable cord, and bring lots of quarters for showers and or laundry. Our RV has an outside bay with a shower hose with hot and cold water which is great for giving the doggies a bath.

I'm sure once you travel this way, you'll be wanting your own "home on wheels". More importantly...have a safe and fun trip!!!

We get the RV tonight so I'll be up loading it up - which is so much better than having to pack, stand in line at the airport (etc), get to the hotel and unpack.

This reminds me of camping when I was younger but then... I was younger! :D Just seems like there's so many more things that "ya just have to have on hand" compared to when we were younger and "didn't need all that" because we could "rough it". hahaha! - not anymore.
