Kwigy Bo Alex & Continental Airline?? I have booked a flight on Continental. I have the Kwigy Bo Alex carrier. Kwigy Bo website states it is approved for "most" airlines. Has anyone flown Continental with the Alex??? I don't want to show up at the airport to find this unacceptable. Thanks!! |

This is from the Continental website. They show contact numbers if you need to call them. Please note the size restrictions of the carrier. Also the cost is $250 return. Also they limit the number of pets on a flight - so hopefully you have when booking your flight let them know you are travelling with a pet. hope this helps Gail |
thanks for reply! Thank you Gail! I had read the website and it states "Maximum hard case kennel dimensions are: 17" L x 12.5" W x 8" H" The dimensions for the Alex bag is - 17"x8"x11" but obviously not "hard case". I assumed I could scrunch it done to handle the height measurement but didnot want to show at the airport to be turned away because of my carrier. And yes - I did include the pet fee for the trip. Although my grandkids say she won't need the "return" leg of the trip! HaHa - like that will happen  I will try calling the airline but without seeing the carrier, I wasn't sure if they could give me an answer. Thank you for your reply!! |
I am going to be flying with Harley over Christmas. When I contacted Delta the measurements that they gave me were much larger than what was listed online. I believe an airline lists the measurement from the smallest planes in their fleet just to be on the safe side! Jeri and Harley |
we just returned from a 3 hour flight today (on horizon/alaska) and used the large alex. to be honest, the airline personnel don't pay any attention to your pup or the bag he's in. they only care about the cargo pets not the cabin ones. we've traveled a lot and i've never had anyone ask, look, or care what type of carrier he's in. as long as the bag zips closed and fits under the seat like a purse. one side note: this was our first trip with the alex - i usually use the argo teafco for travel. anyway, i noticed my dog was panting heavily inside the alex bag (on both legs of the trip). he never panted at all in the teafco. i'm worried that despite its good looks, the alex doesn't provide enough ventilation through the mesh. has anyone else experienced this? |
