In Vancouver, BC, the have a restaurant that you can take your dogs, you sit at one table the dogs have another table, the server serves the dogs too. They also have hotels that accommendate dogs of all sizes. Too bad Calgary, AB can't follow along with Vancouver. | I know I've never seen one. I tried googling it, and closest I can find might be one on Vancouver Island. I did come upon an article about one opening either in Quebec or somewhere saying they're following on the footsteps of restaurants in Vancouver and Toronto. But honestly, I don't know of any. Doggy bakeries don't count as it's not a sit-in and eat place. There used to be a dog store downtown selling doggy stuff and had little low to the ground picnic benches there but that store has been long out of business (okay, maybe just a year or two) and not sure how long it was in business as I generally don't see anyone really "eating" in there. Chocolate bars and muffins or no--I'm almost sure they didn't sell any sealed or otherwise human food there. That might have been the one and only place.
On another note, the other day, the hubby thought he saw an ad for a "coming soon" doggy cafe for Vancouver the city, not the island. |
