Travel to St. Thomas with Yorkie Has anyone traveled to St. Thomas from the USA and back? Any information that you may have I would love to hear from you. My husband and I are planning a trip to St. Thomas this March and Laci will be going with us. I will never leave my baby Laci again at a Kennel. Thank you for any information that you may have. |

St. Thomas is in the US VI, right? I think it could get complicated going tothe British Virgin Islands, but St. Thomas might be do-able. You are smart to be looking into it now. |
Try the island's actual home page. I know when we were thinking about travelling to Anguilla BVI (British Virgin Island).. all we needed was a vet note saying Layla was healthy 1 week prior to our visit and we had to fill in a form and send back within a month of our visit. |

Just make sure you check regulations carefully. Even though Hawaii is in the U.S. there is a 6 mo quarantine or something like that, just like England. I'll be going to Italy and bringing Breyli and I'm am making sure of the regulations of any places I have a layover at as well (i.e. I'm not traveling through London-Harthrowe) |
St. Thomas and Croix are my next destinations! Good luck! :) My daughters yorkie sit for me though!! When mommy gets away, mommy comes back happier :D |
PineHaven i bet you miss your daughter .. are you going there for the holidays?? did her job take her there at least she has her yorkie baby .. what is the other baby that the father in law is hand delivering.. :confused: |

Dear pine haven, i am moving from ireland to the bvi very soon and i was wondering if you had any further info on bringing a yorkie with you. In particular would you daughter now recommend using any particular airline. I have decided to go with air france to newark and then with continental down to st thomas. Does your daughter know of any accommodation in st thomas that is pet friendly?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. |
My parents live on St Croix, have lived there for many years now. i've been there numerous times but i never brought a dog. they have brought 2 dogs there over the years, not recently. there was no quarentine. they were big dogs, not little, so did not fit under seat. i would make sure your dog is on a good flea/tick preventative. they need to be on it year round there. i love St Croix, i know it very well. You drive on the opposite side of the road there... takes alittle getting used to. Love the beaches, love the food! Have a great vacation! ** just now noticed, original post was from 2008 |
