Orlando Pet Friendly Hotel Recommendations Hi Everyone, We will be driving to Orlando for ten days in April with our 8 month old Yorkie, Macky. We have 3 children and have done this trip several times before, but didn't have our puppy. I would love anyone's recommendations or advice in choosing a pet friendly hotel for our stay. We prefer to stay in resort type hotels that offer suites preferably with separate kitchen/tv area and at least two bedrooms. I should also mention that we are doing a few days at Disney World and would also be curious to know if anyone has used the Disney Kennel Service. We are more leaning to leaving our puppy in the hotel room while we are at the parks and go back for a few hours mid-day rather than bring him to the kennel, but since this is our first traveling vacation with our 'baby' I'd love any/all suggestions or advice. Thanks so much! Macky's Mom Kris:animal-pa |
We are planning a YT meet up in Orlando in April! Here's the link- http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...6#post1659986?. Here's a link to pet friendly hotels- http://www.dogfriendly.com/server/tr...LOrlando.shtml |
I hear the Loews at Universal is very nice and dog-friendly. |
I am definately interested in the Orlando meet-up! I did read about the Loews hotel...and was very surprised to learn the Hard Rock Hotel has pet friendly rooms...just wish their prices were more wallet friendly! |

I am thinking of that too...I think we are only doing 2 days of parks and the rest of the time really just relaxing poolside at the hotel. The benefit of having teenagers is that they spend alot of time in front of the tv...even on vacation..so they'll be with the puppy alot! |
We go to Orlando/Disney frequently as I have 2 sons down there, one in school and one that works at Disney. We always rent a home, and if you compare the prices they are actually cheaper than renting a hotel. You want to look for the ones that are closest to Disney, Kissimee area. I feel much more comfortable leaving our pets in a home if we go out to eat or something than I would leaving them in a hotel (which I wouldn't do) because of the maid service going in and out. Here are a few options. http://www.homeaway.com/Orlando-Disn...on-rentals.htm http://www.villas2000.com/frbvo/central_pf.php http://www.vacationhomerentals.com/v...ea-Florida.htm Edited to add: There is a backway to get to the Disney parks from most of these houses without getting back on the Interstate. If you make reservations at one of them, you can pm with the address and I'll see if my son can give you the directions to go in to the parks the back way. |
