moving to another country with my baby hi everyone, I am from canada and moving to st maarten in january, my yorkie never took a plane. I have 2 options , direct flight but my baby can't stay in the cabine with me :( or I can flight with american airline with my yorkie in the cabine but the time of flight is like 10h with 2 stops instead of 4 hours direct flight.. I don't know what to do. I need some advise. I don't want to traumatise him ! thank you |
flying with pup Hmm, I would go with the flight that the baby can be with you. Take a little food for the pup to knibble on, water, when you are at the stop over. Perhaps you can paper train before your flight, so that the day of your flight you can take the pup to the bathroom, place the pad on the floor and tell pup to go potty. I have heard other yorkies do so. Use treats when the pup goes and you will have pup trained very quickly, they love snacks. I hope this helps. Lots of luck. |

I would definetly fly with your baby. They have family bathrooms at most airports where your baby could go potty, and have something to eat and drink. I always think of them being put in this dark place with tons of luggage, and it scares me. I don't actually know where they put them, but I wouldn't want to take the chance. Is your baby pretty small? Sebastian was 12 pounds and long legged. It was kind of hard for him being squashed in the carrier, but atleast I knew he was ok. |
thank you thanks for your advise, I definatly going to bring wisky with me in the cabine :D |
In the cabin, no question. |
