Testing photos on iPad 1 Attachment(s) Trying to find an easy way to upload photos on iPad. |
Well, it'sossible,but that wasn't easy. |
I've been trying to do that as well. How did you do it? |
I say about half the time I am posting I am posting on my iPad!! How did u do it? Louise |
2 Attachment(s) I was planning to write a sticky as soon as I figured out the easiest way to do it. Right now this is the easiest way. First, have an account on photobucket. There are probably other sites that you can use, but I haven't tested them. I got the photobucket application for my ipad, and then it allows you to take a picture with your ipad and it sends them straight to photobucket. This part was very easy. For the next part, it's better to bookmark photobucket and get the web address of the photo that way. I could never find the address by using the photobucket application, it just gives you the option of sending it through an email or downloading. So you must go to the regular online site of photobucket, which you can do through your iPad. Find you picture and copy the "Direct Link" address. I'm assuming you know how to copy? See picture to see where the direct link address is located: Attachment 371235 Copy that address and open "manage attachments" Paste the address where it says "Upload File from a URL" See picture: Attachment 371236 Then press "upload". Your picture should show up as a picture instead of a link. If you want to paste a picture on someone's profile page, instead of the regular forum, you would copy the image file address. It's called the IMG code. I don't know if other photo hosting sites are easier. |
I just noticed the iPad application does have an option "Share" and it will allow you to share with facebook or twitter, it also has an option "Add places" which I assume would be other websites where you want to share it, but when I tap that, it just gives me the facebook and twitter application. Anyone else have anything else happen when they click on "Add places"? |
Okay, I found it!!!! Find the picture you want to use, click on the bottom of it, and a few options come up arrows and an i in a circle. Click on the "i. There you will see Email code, Direct, HTML, and IMG. Use the "Direct code", just put you finger on it and it will copy it. Open up the Yorkietalk page, and paste that code where it says "Upload File from a URL. Feel free to practice on this thread. |
1 Attachment(s) Attachment 371237 okay that is pretty simple, much easier than typing on this thing! |
I've been trying to post pics and a video off of my ipad and still can't figure it out. ipad lets me do it for twitter, but not facebook. Very frustrating!!! I will try Photobucket and see how that goes. |
