Just seeing this. I will be Praying for your son. Just wondering, is there anyone in you or your husbands family with Thyroid problems ? as this could very well be Thyroid related. If it is Thyroid related then an MRI or Spinal Tap will show nothing. A Thyroid panel is fairly fast results & worth a shot IMHO. If you ask for a Thyroid panel, ask them to check T4, T3 & TPO as these are not part of the normal Thyroid panel & can diagnose or rule out an autoimmune disease of his Thyroid & Thyroid problems can mimic many other health issues. |
No one has mentioned thyroid...I will ask. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I will update later today after we talk to the doc. |

Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers. They did not find anything additional on the MRI and we may have to wait a day or two for the spinal tap as my son isn't feeling well. We are hoping it's just a cold and he will feel better soon. I will update when I know more. I am just very tired. |

Be sure to let his doctor know he isn't feeling well, let him know exactly what he's experiencing. I'm still praying hard for your precious boy, hoping for the best. Not one of us who has a grown child hasn't put herself in your place this week, imagining the horror you all are going through with these frightening symptoms, all the waiting and the worrying about your baby. Living on the edge as you have been for so long, it's no wonder you are tired. I'll bet you are ready to collapse and sleep for 72 hours if only you weren't so filled with tension. Hang in there - we're with you. |

Thank you all so much. I did let the doctor know my son isn't feeling well and has a fever. He still wants to see him tomorrow but he won't do the spinal tap until he is better. My son is not talking about suicide anymore, so that is a great relief. I am learning to deal with things a little better and just work to have a positive attitude. I have felt wonderful comfort from everyone's posts and prayers. Thank you once again. |
My heart goes out to you and your family. It is so darn hard to cope when all this hits and your son still does not have the diagnosis. Hang in there, and give your adorable lil pup lots of kissies, and enjoy whatever happiness you can find in this stressful time. |
I know you are relieved that your son is coping better. I hope the doctor will be able to do the spinal tap soon. Praying they get the fever down so it can be done. You all haven't been far from my thoughts and I have you all in my prayers. You have us all here for you. Hugs to you! |
