Prayer Warriors, please PRAY!!! I just got a call from my brother and SIL. My nephew had knee surgery (complete meniscus tear and ACL tear) on Monday. His lower leg started swelling Tuesday. They took him to the doctor and he did an ultrasound which showed TWO blood clots. They prescribed blood thinners. Well, this morning his leg started turning very, very dark. They rushed him to the ER an hour ago. I'm so worried. He is such a sweet boy. I call him boy because that is what he will always be to me. He is actually 38. He needs prayer and only God can see him and the family through whatever is facing him. I've always known that knee surgeries can be dangerous and it is now hitting home. I've known several people who have had big problems with knee surgeries. Thank you everyone for your prayers. I'll update when I can. If anyone has any suggestions or experience with this, please let me know. |
I am sending urgent prayers. I hope they can save his leg. This is so scary. |

Yes, it's very scary. Thank you for your prayers. I haven't made it to the ER yet to see how he is doing. I'm also praying the clots don't break loose. |

Sending prayers |
Thanks everyone for your prayers! My nephews surgeon is in surgery with another patient. He will see my nephew next. So, I still don't know much. I do know they did bloodwork. His white blood cells are normal, but whatever else was tested isn't. He is in a lot of pain. They don't want to start antibiotics because they can interfere with testing that might need to be done. I don't know what all of this means yet. I will update as I know more. It seems like when you go to the ER, it takes forever. |
My SIL just called and said my nephew has a bad infection in his ankle and foot and that the blood thinner probably caused the swelling. They changed to a different blood thinner. They are keeping him overnight on IV antibiotics. I'm not really sure about the blood clots. My SIL didn't know either. |
Sending prayers for your nephew Lilah. |
Praying the healing power of God touch your nephews leg and a miracle for his healing. |
I'm sorry I didn't see this until now. I believe in Gods healing power and am praying now! I will be praying during the night , please let us know how he is doing in the morning. God bless! |

The doctors have a grip on my nepnew's infection. The blood clots are still there so they are keeping him overnight to monitor him. Thank you for saying prayers for him. It means a lot. |
Just seeing this and will pray until he's well again. Try not to worry, he sounds like he's in good hands now. |
Your nephew remains in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for the update. |

dog May the power of prayer surround your nephew and healing take place. May the medicine work and his health improve immediately. I will keep him in prayer. Rest assured that our Lord hears all our prayers and will answer them and t you can have peace knowing that. |
Continued prayers and well wishes. Thank you for the update. How are you holding up? |
Lila, I am so happy to hear your nephew's infection is being successfully treated. I pray he improves with each day. |
My nephew came home yesterday. The infection is clearing up. He still has the bloodclot. They changed his blood thinner as they suspected the one he was initially put on caused the swelling in his foot. He is in extreme pain and the doctor told him that it could last up to a few months or even a year!!! That's definitely not what he wanted to hear. I always thought that blood thinners dissolved blood clots. It was explained that they just keep the blood thin so no more will develop. This ordeal has made a nervous wreck out of me but I feel better now that he is home. Thank you everyone for your continued prayers. Please pray that his pain will subside soon. |
Lila, I am glad to hear your nephew is home and will continue to pray for the bloodclot to resolve itself sooner than expected. |
