Some friend I am. Just realized my friend's name is spelled Lori, not Laurie. I was watching her dogs and her house for her family during the memorial (since idiots try to rob houses during funerals sometimes) and her dogs were so sad. One of them kept pacing up to her room. I do say prayers for her family every night. I know she doesn't need them; I'll surely be in limbo for a long while when it's my time but she has to have a straight ticket! |
How sad! I'm so sorry... |
Praying for you and Lori's family and friends. Losing a loved one is so so hard on the heart. But, when it is to a stupud disease and takes them so young, it is sheerly maddening. Hold onto those memories that you just shared. They can make you cry right now, but (from my experience) they will eventually be what makes you smile again. Rest in peace, Lori. |
I am saddened by your loss, I know she will be missed by many that loved her dearly, including yourself. Sometimes there just is no explanation...only God knows why she was called home at such a young age and had every reason in the world to survive. Sending you a much needed hug, I am so very sorry. |
Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Memories of Lori will live on in your heart.... Prayers to you, her family & friends. |
I know everyone is very sorry for your loss, as am I. It has to be devastating for all of her family and friends. If there is one thing I could say to you, I would like to tell you, you seem like the kind of person she knew was in her corner and loved her very much. I'm sure she loved you very much and all of the things you did for her. Please take comfort in knowing that. I'm sure you will keep all of the happy times in your heart. She was blessed to know you as well. |
I'm so very sorry, truly there are not enough words to express sincerely the sympathy I feel for you and all who knew this sweet girl.....her life was full, short but beautiful...rest in peace Laurie. |

condolences and poem Sorry for your loss of a special friend/person, who touched your heart in a big way. Condolences to you, her family and many other people whose hearts touched. Seems that you have many sweet memories that will forever be with you, that no one can ever take away. Not sure if this poem helps you, but it did me when my dad passed. We put it on his memory card during the celebration of his life: We little knew that morning God was to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, You love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls up one by one, The chain will link again. |
I am so sorry you lost such a dear friend. My condolences go out to you and Lori's family. |
It still doesn't seem real even though it has been a week now. Just still in shock that this could happen to a woman who was about the healthiest person I knew (until February). |
