praying for help with career setback I apologize for asking for prayers when this problem seems so trivial compared to the issues most here are facing. My 23 yr old son has put his blood sweat & tears into his musical career for the past 5 years. His hard work seemed to pay off 3 months ago when they were signed by a record company. Now the record company is telling my son he needs to change his image to a "bad boy" or they will replace him. They want him to change who he is & get tatoos & piercings etc. among other things. My son is devistated, but doesn't want to compromise who he is & what he stands for. He also doesn't want to hold back the other members of his band. Hes worked so hard for this, and now he feels its being taken away. Please say a prayer to help him decide what is the right thing to do, and to hlp him be at peace with his decision. I know this is a minor problem compared to most here, but as a Mom, its so hard to watch our children struggle & suffer. I 'm almost embarrased to ask for help here, but know how powerful YT prayers can be! |
I'm sorry your son is going through this. It must be a very tough situation for him and you. Good thoughts that he can do the right thing for himself, whatever that may be. |
Praying for your son. What's the band's name? Maybe we can blast them on their fanpage for not appreciating people for who they are and their talent alone... lol. |

Thank you so much for your thoughts & prayers. I know they must have helped because he's at peace with his decision. He has decided to step down as lead singer & just do backup vocals. The band will look for a lead singer with a "bad boy" image. That way the the record co. will be happy & my son can still be a part of what he helped create. Its not perfect, but it is a solution for now. Again, I know this is a small problem compared to what many others are facing, but it was huge to my Son. Thank you again for your thought & prayers, they truly helped! |

Kudos to your son for being true to himself! Takes some real maturity to do what he is doing. Hope he will be patient until the right time/place for his talent, on his terms, can be revealed. :D |

Just wanted to thank those who prayed for my small problem. It was huge to my son, and had a wonderful outcome. Thanks YT'ers! He's formed a new band, and loves what he's doing! He's being true to himself, and is 1000 times happier. YT prayers are so powerful, I know they made a huge difference! THANK YOU!!! |
This was not a small problem in my eyes and, I am so proud of your Son to have decided to be true to himself. I was going to mention seeing a lawyer to see if he/she had any ideas that would allow him to work around it. I love what he came up, there is a lot to be said to be able to live with oneself and sleep at night. God Bless, Joan |
