Need Urgent Prayers Just got a call from my sister, my Mother is on her way to the hospital by ambulance, she is having a stroke. Please pray for her. Thanks. |

Oh Noooooooo! Praying for your momma!! Please get her to a stroke center, where they have a stroke protocol....they will be able to receive her in the ER and treat her with the protocol, and possibly prevent residual damage from the stroke....I am praying for her and your family as well....been here, done this with my own momma..... |

Sending prayers Kathy and please make sure it's a stroke center!! My MIL made the mistake of taking my FIL To the closest ER. They misdiagnosed and it was the next day before we got him to an ER further away that was a stroke center. He is still a long way from 100% and may never be. Keep us updated as you can. You and your mom are in my prayers |

Thanks to everyone for your prayers and well wishes. My Mom was taken to a Stroke Center. She went right from the ambulance to the CAT Scan. So from onset of symptoms to the scan was 45 minutes. They are going to admit her for more tests and observation for two days. My Sis is an NP (can't remember all the stuff that goes after that, lol). She said she noticed a difference in my Mom over the past 2 weeks or so, and had her at the doctor's office yesterday for some testing, all of which was Within Normal Limits. She came back this morning to find Mom talking gibberish, but she was aware she was doing it and getting very frustrated. That's when my Sister called the ambulance. Now, Mom's waiting to get a room. I'm going up later this evening to visit. I did speak with her on the phone... her words were slurred but not too badly, and she stayed on topic. I'm scared bc she's already on blood thinners for her heart. She wasn't bad off enough to require the initial treatment for stroke patients, so that's good... I'll update when I find out more.
