Desperate Prayers Needed for Liza, Family, & Little Man
 

We are in desperate need of your prayers, good thoughts, positive energy and what ever else you can shoot our way.....

Liza's miniature stallion, Boy Named Sioux aka Little Man, was kicked today and it caused a compound fracture of his tibia. The vet came out and basically he has a 50% chance, maybe. Because of the location of the break (plates may not stabilize the bone enough for it to heal) and because the skin was punctured (risk of infection) he may have to be euthanized. The family is on their way to Auburn. It's a three hour drive and its going to be difficult for Little Man.

Please pray for a safe trip, for Little Man surviving the drive, and pray especially hard that the vets at Auburn can come up with a plan to save him. I should hear from then in about three hours when they arrive which will be around 8:30 eastern time - I'll update as soon as I get the call, and again after they talk to the vets.

Little Man is loved by many. He belonged to me, I taught him to do the hokey-pokey and I loved him. Liza convinced me that she couldn't live without him so I sold him to her -- that was 12 years ago.

Update-- we are heartbroken
 

Forty minutes into the 3 hour trip Little Man's Tibia punched through and he's bleeding out. They are headed home with our dear friend where the vet will meet us to ease him over the rainbow bridge.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Thank goodness he's not going to ever hurt anymore now and will take his place at the Bridge, where all the sweet things go to be young, whole and happy and wait for that day. Little Man will be running and hokey-pokeying his way to stardom in the Rainbow sky.

Little Man, you have brought so much happiness and smiles to so many people. Now it is your time to go and rest. Your creator loves you and will have a beautiful place for you. It is so heartbreaking to let a beautiful animal go back to his creator but we know it is the best decision. Prayers for comfort and tears missing him. We all mourn for his passing.
