Thinking and praying for you all :heart to |
On my way out the door to work. Just wanted to post the latest update from my sister... " Today's word: "patience"...that's the summary of our evaluation and plan. Now we be patient. Infection is still present but she is no longer in septic shock. Vitals are stable and vent settings are being "tweeked". Lowering the sedating medications so she will wake up and get strong! It is time now to let her own body heal itself as much as it can. Now, for our homework: pray that she tolerates being off sedation. She is having some pain (from the surgeries and procedures from this week). She also is HIGHLY uncomfortable from the considerable swelling and soreness. Pray for God's grace as she pushes through. And pray for patience. MY hope is that tomorrow's update will contain a photo (one that she has given sober consent to post lol) so all may see her beautiful smiling face :) In His time! ~~even if... ♥ " Now, the hard part begins for Jada. She's been asleep/sedated for a week - she HAS to wake up and she's going to fight that trach and vent. Pray hard still, everyone. Thank you all!! Love you, my YT Family!! |
Praying for Jada... for everything good coming to her. Thanks for the update. |
Very good update and sounds as if her body is responding!!! Still praying, still believing in miracles and thinking of Jada and you all so often. Hoping tomorrow brings more hope. She could lose a little here as they amp things down and her body responds but keep the faith. :) |
Thanks again, everyone. I haven't heard anything about how it is going today. I will try to call my mom in a bit to see if she knows anything - she is staying up there in Birmingham with my sister and Jada. I am so anxious and this day is dragging. I will be going up there early in the morning and probably staying all day and most of the night - hope to give my baby Bug a hug and mostly give my sister someone new to look at - she needs a mental break sometimes. I don't have a lot to offer her, but I have always been able to make her laugh by saying silly things. Gonna go with my strength on this trip hehe Also, my nephew and his wife are coming back over from Georgia tomorrow. I will get to see them, too. My nephew is my sister's oldest (she had him when she was only 16 - I was 12). He has always been basically my little brother more than a nephew. He is such a good man and loves his Jada :) |
continuted prayers for jada...i hope she responds well to coming out of sedation. stay strong jada we are all praying for you. prayers to your sister as well i can only imagine the emotional drainage she has going on. travel safe tomorrow. :) |

"Today is not a good day. Had to replace the trach because of an air leak issue and also having trouble with some blood gases. (unsure whether one relates to the other) Have improved some in the last hour, though. Please continue prayers. ~~even if... " |
