| MandiesMom | 05-22-2013 06:58 PM | Thank you all so much for your prayers!!! Keep 'em coming! I wasn't able to get to a computer the last couple of days. With a heart that still wants to be in Birmingham, I am reluctantly back home because I need to work the rest of the week. Believe me, I'm in the car at a moment's notice.
Here is what I keep telling my Mom, Sister, and Daddy:
"We take this moment by moment. God could come get us all in the next moment. One of us could 'go' in the next moment. We do not know and we can't write this girl's next moment. So, we take it moment by moment and the rest of the moment's are left in HIS hands."
This can say what's going on at THIS moment better than I could write it. My sister's latest update (about an hour ago): "Using diuretics to expel fluids. Slow process, and I think he'd like it quicker, but I can already see a difference. She has had to be suctioned a lot, but she seems to be keeping her numbers pretty stable. I thought she looked almost comfortable today (drug induced, I know, but still comfortable) Pray as they decide what steps to take toward waking her and getting mobile. This would require different access lines for the ECMO, and as anyone who has cared for her, medically, in the last 10 years can attest, Jada has vertually NO access left. The Docs are scratching their heads. Pray, also, for this fluid to leave peacefully, without a fight, and that maybe she will awake in the morning, fresh as a daisy :) Oh, and my Daddy made my computer work again on the hospital internet! Woo hoo!
~~even if...she lays in bed...I will praise Him."
Bottom line - we can't let her kidneys fail. And if they put her on the CRRT machine (if the diuretics don't work), that will most likely bump her score down on the Transplant List (it may even remove her from the list). HOWEVER, if that does happen..it doesn't have to be permanent. IF she must go on the CRRT and she comes off the CRRT, she can be put back on the list (where she is currently at the top in her catagory and region).
Pray that tonight is a miraculous night of peeeeeeeeee. We were doing cheers by her bedside today and yesterday. (Jada used to cheerlead).
Give me a P!! Give me a P!!!
Goooo P-P!!!! :D
