My goodness...........just catching this........thank God prayers were answered and she is doing better than expected! I will add my prayers to the group and hopefully Connie will be home soon! |
Ahhhh....thank you everyone for your prayers! They certainly worked. I have had awful headaches for so long now and a painful neck, and last night, an artery in my forehead swelled and bulged outward. One area was very large and then went upwards. I had a friend once that had Temporal Arteritis and I thought for sure that's what I had and the treatment is being on prednisone for 2 years or more. My doctor moved, so I had no primary care doctor and couldn't get in with any doctor this morning. They all told me to go to the ER. So, I spent 5 long hours there and was so elated to hear my bloodwork came back showing I didn't have that, and even the doctor was surprised. He thinks the swollen artery is from the constant headaches and my very messed up neck. I have new meds to take and hoping I can break the cycle of the headaches and feel good again some day soon. Thanks for your prayers! You all make me feel so special! |
You ARE special! Hope you're feeling better soon and your new meds work wonders for you! |
I am so glad that all is well Connie. Take care |
That is scary and thank goodness you got immediately into the ER and got the bloodwork and new meds. Necks can sure cause some bad, bad, bad headaches, can't they? I feel so bad for you and hopefully that neck will settle for a while after this Spring weather is done. Have you been working a lot with your neck held in one position or your arms a lot, especially but not necessarily up/overhead so your head goes back? Reading a lot? As you know, those things can really aggravate the neck. Shrugging your shoulders a lot during the day, don't ever put your head back and showering in very very very warm/hot water with a thick turkish towel spread over your neck, shoulder and upper back can help your neck. The hotter the water the better and stand in the water for 15 minutes if you can. I'm praying for you. |
Many prayers! Glad you are feeling better. |
