Prayers needed for McKenna
 
Hi Everyone,

Please keep my Yorkie baby, McKenna in your prayers. We have been dealing with some health issues for a couple months with her liver enzyme count being high and now the bile acid test came back very high. McKenna has an appointment next week for an ultrasound at a animal medical clinic, who has a specialist on staff. I'm so scared and just want her to be ok. They want to check for a shunt. She is my first Yorkie and I have truly fallen in love with the breed. If anyone has went through a similar experience I would appreciate any advice or any information you can provide. Thank you all so much!

You may want to start another thread in the Sick & Injured section. Many members have experience with shunts and liver problems and can share info with you, and offer support.

Thank you all for your prayers! Sorry I didn't get to update sooner but I received great news from the specialist in Akron on Thursday. McKenna has no signs of shunts or any abnormalities in her liver or organs. They did xrays and an ultrasound. Now we are to try diet and adding a supplement that was recommended and see how the next bile acid test goes(fingers crossed). Wylie's Mom if you could please move my thread to the other forum you mentioned I would so appreciate that. I would love any feedback or advice I can get from people who have went through similar situations. Thank you all again for your prayers it means so much to me and my baby McKenna!

That is good news that there is no sign of a shunt! I have no e pertinence with this but will continue to pray.
