Well we are home and settled in. This will be along few months as he can not put any weight on this foot. We were told their would be 3 screws and maybe a plate. Attaching a picture of the new hardware. They hope to leave it in. But said it may have to come out.

Glad you are home! Yikes that looks painful and scary. I hope your DH has an uneventful recovery.

I'm so sorry you're going through more! That's a bunch of hardware. Sending prayers that this will work. I hope you can get straightened out as well and know that I am wishing you nothing but the very best. I wonder if you are having some low blood sugar or something like that? I'm not much of a dr.;)

Well today was first X-ray since the last surgery. And the very first time everything looks right on track. Been a long 16 months. New cast on for 4 more weeks. And then back to the walking boot. Hopefully by mid summer he will be much better.
I have been doctoring and trying estrogen that seems to be helping So all and all things are looking up :). Happy day

I'll bet you all are thinking to yourselves "It's about time." hehe. Seriously, I am so glad to hear this news I don't know what to do. This is tremendous news. I am so glad for you both and I know your poor DH is so looking forward to one day resuming his life as he knew it. What a wonderful day you had. I'm stil praying - until that man is back working some and then back to normal, he's on my daily list. :)

Thanks all We are finially thinking we may get back to some kind of normal. May not be the one we are use to. But the unknown of what's going on each doctor appt. seems to be going the right way. Don't want to jinx us. I can not tell you how good it was to hear. Yup everything looks good. So we will take it and enjoy these next four weeks. He is so sick of his cast. But put a bright one on for the grandkids to color this weekend :). Girls will both be home that is always a wonderful time as well. And I can not thank you all enough for keeping us in your prayers.. Wishing you all a very blessed Easter

Well tomorrow is the day. The cast is suppose to come off. And back to a walking boot. He is getting so,excited to try to walk on it. And be cast free. Will update tomorrow.
