Please say a prayer for me I've been having some slight discomfort in my lower left pelvic region for about a month. Lately it's been MUCH worse and today I felt some sort of knot or mass on my left side, that I don't feel on my right. I'm really freaked out. My primary care physician is about 2 hours away, so I changed my PCP to one that's local and it will be final on the 1st. So i'm going to try to wait until then to get checked out. If the pain gets any worse, I'm going to have to get checked out sooner. Please keep me in your thoughts, I'm really hoping this is nothing major. :( |
Oh no sending prayers it's nothing. It may need to be checked out sooner tho. Keep us posted |
Sarah, I'll definately keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Since you have been having the pain for a while and its getting worse, plus feeling the knot/mass it might be prudent to drive the two hours to get checked out. |
I will pray for your healing, but you really need to get to a doctor asap! |
Sarah will be keeping you in my prayer's that it is nothing major. If you can feel a mass I would try to get to the doctor's sooner. Please keep us up dated because we will be concerned about you.:animal-pa Anne/Luci |
Thank you all. The reason I'm also hesitant to go to my PCP is I just don't feel comfortable with any of the physicians at the practice (at least the ones I've seen). I've only gone for routine things, but I've felt rushed and been talked to rudely :(. That's the last thing I would want for something like this. So I looked at physician reviews before changing the PCP. But, I suppose I don't have a choice if the pain continues/gets worse. |
If the pain is bad, could you go into the E.R.? I will surely be praying that it is nothing. Have you ever had an ovarian cyst before? It sounds like some of those I used to get. Larger ones could be palpated. All of those burst and resorbed without medical care except in one instance - but all were accompanied by pain! Eventually, I had to have a hysterectomy, though. No fun but it stopped all that cyst stuff. They can get really huge - and can get septic upon bursting. You'll feel bad & ill if that happens and have to go in for treatment - ER if after hours. I'm praying for you that whatever it is it is something that will either go away now on its own or will turn out to be nothing serious or bad. Hang in there but if you need, go to the E.R. :) |
Sending prayers for you Sarah and hope you find out it's nothing. I agee, if the pain worsens...go to local E.R. |
Nope, I've never had an ovarian cyst before. If it gets worse, I'll go to the E.R... fortunately I live RIGHT next to the hospital... I can see it from my kitchen window :p |
Oh Sarah, I will definately been sending prayers and positive thoughts that its nothing! |
Sending prayers your way Sarah. I had something similar about 12 years ago. It was an ovarian cyst that never burst. That sucker was 12 lbs when they had to remove my ovary. I didn't have pain with it though until it was huge. I looked 7 months pregnant and thought I had just gained weight. Hopefully it is just a cyst and it will burst on its own, I know they are painful for most women. IDK why I never had pain until it was so huge. Do you have an OB/GYN that you can go to. My family doctor referred me straight away to one in another city (our tiny town doesn't have one:() |
