I just talked to Patti and Jack is still in surgery. He has been in for 2 1/2 hours. Patti will let me know when she knows more. She appreciates all the prayers. |

Patti just called and Jack is out of surgery and waiting to go to the recovery room. The doctor said they will keep Jack until Monday. Please keep Patti in your prayers as well she sounds so exhausted. Thanks |

So glad the surgery is over and Jack is awake. Whew! Now, just waiting for word on what they were able to find and do. I so pray that poor Patti is getting some rest - that someone is helpng her sit up with Jack. |
I came home for a bit to make sure the girls are okay, I got someone to come and stay with them. I will be driving back to the hospital shortly. I have a private male nurse for this twelve hour shift to be by Jack's bedside. Will do so in the next shift if I feel it is needed. We really appreciate all the prayers, Jack had to be restrained because he was struggling to pull out iv's and catheter. I really am concerned, he is so very weak.For sometime now his speech has become a whisper, now it is hardly that. Patti thank you for coming and posting for me this evening, I cried all the way home and then coming in the house and still am, I feel at such a loss, I am frightened. I just pray for God to give me more strength. I must get back to the hospital. Thank you so much everyone, without prayers we could not get through these trials in life. God has Blessed us with 56 and half wonderful years, if I could make a wish come true for many troubled marriages, It would be that they could share the blessings in marriage such as that Jack and I have been so very blessed with. He is the most wonderful caring man and to go through all that he has over these last few years is heart breaking what he has had to endure, I know in his lifetime he has touched many souls and left wonderful memories in their hearts. God has been so good to me in seeing that Jack became my soulmate. Love and hugs from us both, Patti and Jackp |
Patti, seems like you have gone through enough struggles and often wonder why good people have to suffer so much, it just isn't fair but God knows and never makes you carry your load alone. I am so glad that you took a break and got a nurse to step in even if only for a few hours. Your unending commitment to Jack never ceases to touch me. You have gone through so much stress along with Jack and have never, ever left his side. I didn't know Jack but he must be a wonderful guy to have captured such a wonderful wife. I hope that this surgery helps to elivate some of the sleepless nights that you both have had to get through. It's said that "His eye is on the sparrow" but sometimes I wonder why people have to suffer so much. You and Jack are always in my thoughts and prayers. |

My prayers for you as you go through this trial. We have the promises of the Lord to fall on and He will carry us through. May the Lord strengthen both of you and send His healing power to Jack. I will lift him up daily and hope to hear he is better. You will be surrounded by His angels ministering to you and Jack. I am so thankful you believe because that is where the power is. Our prayers are answered and our God is powerful to send His grace and favor over us. |
Patti, I want to tell you that the Lord has Jack's life in His hands. My husband had an 11 hour surgery for esophageal cancer. He is still with me. He is the only patient to survive this in San Diego. God is in charge. I had breast cancer, chemo and radiation. I am still here. So as we live for the Lord we know that He takes care of us and knows our future. Bless you for being so caring. Letus all kinow how Jack is doing. |
