Hate to visit this thread again so soon... I posted about a good friend of mine passing away not even a week ago, and now I'm asking for prayers and positive thoughts for ANOTHER friend who had a seizure and just found out he has a brain tumor. He never had a seizure in his life, he's 25 and now all of a sudden he's having brain surgery. All these negative things are happening in my life that are breaking my heart, and it's good that Luma is coming home to me in just 14 days, because I need that little angel to help me stay strong. I know everything happens for a reason, we are all trying not to lose faith, but I pray my friend's surgery goes well and nothing else happens to him... :cry8: |
Prayers, thoughts and best wishes for your friend and you...keep the faith. |
Prayers up for your friend, and positive, healing energies. |
A bit of an update.... Posted this a year ago when my dear friend Charles, a perfectly healthy young person had his first seizure ever and found out he had a cancerous tumor. He had the surgery and recovered so quickly, and went on witj his life as normal. Had a few MRIs over the last yr and everytjing looked great. Well yesterday I found out he had two seizures. He could sense it coming this time. Sooo..he is back at the hospital, back on medicine...they said a yr after brain surgeries it is possible for thr scar tissue too cause another seizure? Idk exactly. Anyways, all good thouhts and prayers would be so appreciated. His wife is his rock and she is just devastated they are possibly going through this all over again. He's a very positive person and has an amazing support system, but every prayer sent up helps!! God please pet his MRI look okay!! He is young and full of life and I don't want to lose such a sweet and special guy I'm blessed to have the friendship of. |
Good thoughts and Blessings go out to him, his family and you. Hugs |
I will hold him in my prayers Carmen. A very good friend of mine dealt with brain tumors for many years. |
I will keep them in my prayers. |
Praying that all shows up ok on the MRI for your friend, Carmen. |
Another update incase anyone reads this. Prayers greatly needed. Charles continued to have seizures since the last time I posted. His tumors grew back and on Sept. 17 he had a second brain surgery, this time while awake but heavily sedated. His tumors were in in the region that effects motor skills. They did his surgery in Boston this time which is where the best doctors are. They managed to remove 98% of the mass and he was doing quite well post-op. In the past few days however the swelling in his brain has made him lose nearly all his muscle ability on the left side of his body. Reminder, he is only 26 and is so frustrated with not being able to walk, move his fingers, or smile correctly. He's started some pretty intensive physical therapy. His pathology should come back soon and everyone is praying its not cancer. It was benign the first time and now we are hoping for good news a second time. I love this guy so so much, he is very dear to us and we really could use prayers for him and his wife. They are not religious but are some of the most positive people I know. I've facetimed (like webcams on the iPad) with him a lot in the past few days and he is being so positive despite barely being able to talk and not seeming like himself anymore. Very frightening.g but everyone is hoping for the best. Thanks. |
Sending prayers and best wishes for your friend and hugs and support to his family. |
