Thanks so much!! Ken has been feeling very weak and sleeping most of the time so we went to his regular doctor this morning. He is running blood work to see if he has become anemic again. We should get the results Wednesday. This is such a scary journey and your prayers and support are so appreciated. Hugs |
Sorry to hear Ken is not feeling so well. We may not be able to do much, but one thing we can do is keep this prayer chain going. Remember Patti, you do not walk this difficult journey alone! :hands::hands: |

Please, the chain needs more links as Ken is not feeling well. Here is another link in the prayer chain. :hands::hands: |
Thanks! Ken's blood work showed some thyroid problem so he has to go for an ultrasound Monday and an Endocrinologist Wednesday. In the mean time, he showed me 2 lymph nodes that are swollen in his lower neck area right near the one that was removed in August and it was cancerous. His regular doctor said to go ahead with the ultrasound and endo appointment and he will discuss results with oncologist and see what plan of action to take. This has just devastated us. I am trying to stay strong but I am so scared. I will update when we know more. |
This chain has got to keep growing! Here's another link in this much needed prayer chain. :hands::hands: |
Unfortunately the cancer is active again. Ken has to have fluid drained from his lung tomorrow and the they want him to start a different chemo next week. We are just devastated by the news. It's hard trying to keep Ken's spirits up when all I feel like doing is go to bed and stay there. Thanks for the prayers we can really use them. |
Patti, I am so sorry to hear this news. As always, you and Ken remain in my prayers and i will do everything I can to keep this prayer chain going and growing. Dear Lord, hear all of our prayers for Ken and Patti :hands::hands: |
Still praying... |
Thanks so much. The new chemo is really hitting Ken hard. Prayers are greatly appreciated. |
Patti, I'm sorry Ken is having a really hard time with the new chemo. Keeping you both in my prayers. :hands::hands: |
Praying for you and Ken. Try to take care of yourself too. A caretaker has a hard job. BLess you and dh. |
:hands::hands: Prayers being said for Ken ...and also for you, Patti ...God Bless you both.. |
Thanks! Ken had his 3rd of 9 treatments today and has to have a blood transfusion tomorrow due to low hemoglobin count. He is getting so discouraged. The music therapist never showed up. I felt so bad for Ken he brought his 12 string guitar and was looking forward to learning some Irish songs from her. Also one of the lymph nodes in his neck has doubled in size the past week. We saw the oncologist on the way out and stopped to ask him about it. He said that he wasn't that concerned as he knew there was involvement above the collar bone and he wanted to wait a few more weeks to see if the new chemo is working. We are still worried though that it is growing while on the new chemo. I am still telling Ken to think positive and pray for the cure. |
Sending prayers |
Adding another link to the chain! :hands::hands: |
Thanks! Ken is really having a rough time so these prayers are greatly appreciated. |
I'm sorry to hear Ken is having such a difficult time. Count on this prayer chain continuing as long as needed! :hands::hands: |
Thanks. Ken has been having severe back pain on his spine. He had an MRI of his back this morning at 6 am. We should know the results in a day or two. We are so afraid that the cancer has spread to his bones. All prayers are so appreciated! |
:hands::hands: |
Prayers and love for you and Ken! |
Ken's MRI showed a compression fracture in his spine and tiny spots of metastatic disease. They are stopping chemo for 3 weeks to do 2 1/2 weeks of radiation on his spine. The chemo he is on is not compatible with radiation. I am so concerned that in spite of all his chemo treatments the cancer is still spreading. Thanks for the continued support and prayers. |
Have you all thought at all about trying another cancer center or are they really hard to get into or far away? I'm keeping Ken lifted up to his Father in prayer and hoping so hard to hear some good news before too long. |
:hands: :hands: :hands: :hands: Another link in the prayer chain! |
