I will keep them in my prayers. Are they sending Jack home tomorrow after surgery? It would be nice if they kept him in over night so Patti could get a good nights sleep.

Cindy...what you said makes sense. Patti took him to an ortho guy that she has had before, so she knows him and knows he's good!

I'll be praying that the surgery goes well and he has a pain free, speedy recovery!

Patti said she thought they would just send him home but she was hoping that they would keep him at least over night. The surgeon has plans on sending him home after surgery,, so I guess it will depend on how he handles the surgery. Patti said it is so difficult to move him now that he only has one arm and he is afraid that he will fall again. Patti is a saint. She said she would call me tonight after she gets home. She is so appreciative of the YT prayers and all her friends here.

Sending more prayers for Jack and Patti. She could ask them to keep him overnight... I asked after my surgery, they discharged me as it was starting to snow... I didn't want to risk a slip or a fall. I would have sat in the lobby actually, but they gave me my room back for the night...

Jack's surgery got started much later than planned and I just talked to Patti about half an hour ago. She was finally able to go in to see Jack in recovery. She said he seems to be in a lot of pain and I'm sure he's still somewhat out of it from the anesthesia. He got a plate and screws in his wrist and he is going to be discharged tonight. You'd think when he gets out of surgery at 10 or so at night, that they could keep him the night. Patti and Jack are both so touched and thankful for the prayers! Please keep praying!

Patti called me at 5 am est this morning. When Jack came out of anesthesia he was confused, combative, belligerent and unaware of his surrounding. They told Patti she could take him home and she refused and told them to go in and see what Jack was acting like. They conceded and kept him. They had to restrain him and have a nurse sit with him to prevent injury to himself or others. She has no idea what happened to make him act like this but i told her that it could be a drug reaction. She left and went home to take care of the dogs and then went back to the hospital. When she returned Jack had been sedated and was sleeping so she was unsure if he was still confused or not. Patti said this has been the worst nightmare ever.
Please continue prayers for both of them.

Continued prayers for Patti and Jack. Hoping he is feeling better today. His behavior was probably pain and drug related.

Just got off the phone with Patti. Jack is home and doing better as far as his memory goes. He still is in a lot of pain but more comfortable for both Patti and Jack at home. She wanted me to thank everyone for your prayers, support and good thoughts being sent their way.

I pray that each passing minute brings less pain for Jack and many more peaceful moments for both of them. I hope tomorrow is much brighter for them.

I spoke with Patti tonight. They went back to the surgeon on Monday and he expects a full recovery for Jacks hand and fingers. He said it would take a while for it to heal. They are going to start some therapy for his fingers.
Patti and Jack are so thankful for all of your prayers and thoughts. She said it makes all the difference!

Dear Friends, Thank you Connie for starting this thread for us, and to each and everyone that has been lifting us up in your prayers. We are so very Blessed to have found Yorkie Talk and have come to know so many here. I am only on briefly to change our profile music video and post you all here, our friend came by and I had asked her to bring her lap top so I could do that :-) this song is SOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL and is a reminder how quickly time passes by, Jack and I had our 55th Wedding Anniversary in May. God has given us many wonderful years together, many trials in this ole life and undergoing through another at this time, but PRAISE GOD FOR HIS LOVE and continued strength He so provides. I am doing fine, thank you so much for keeping us both in prayer and especially My Jack, he is my life in this lifetime, I would be totally lost without him.
Connie, Patti, Patty, Jacqueline, and others you are all a very special group of folks, Yorkie Talk and ourselves are so very Blessed and our lives enriched to have you all in each of our lives.
I don't know when it will be but I will eventually get another computer, I have missed you all and coming to Yorkie Talk, but for the time being am so very busy caring for Jack and all, that I wouldn't have time to get on line.

I want to say THANK YOU TO EACH AND EVERYONE FOR YOUR PRAYERS, we wish you all could feel our great big hug coming to each of you from us both. I know it's because of all those praying that I have been able to do and be at Jack's side giving him constant care these past weeks, it was so scarey this past week having to call 911 again and his having to be admitted into the hospital. It was wonderful getting to bring him home last Saturday, against Dr.s choice..... but no way would I place my Jack in a nursing facility, his place is home with me and I know how can it not be that I will lack caring for him when I have you all praying for us both.

Connie Dear, I have missed keeping up with the outside happenings, I am so very sorry and sad to hear about all the flooding in your area, what a wonderful lady you are helping all those people and doing, please take care of yourself.I also am lifting your hubby in prayer with this coming surgery,and asking others here to be praying for his complete healing with this upcoming surgery.

Our furbabies have been so good these past weeks, it is amazing how they know when things aren't right, what a joy they are.

I may have the computer here for couple days but is hard to get the time to come on line.

What an amazing thread this is. It really touched my heart to read it this morning.

Patti I will add you and Jack to my prayers. I know in tough times, we as women can have amazing strength.
