Sending special thoughts and prayers for Bailey for a speedy recovery. |
Thank you for the info on strokes. Bailey will remain in my prayers for continued improvement. |
I never realized how quickly they can recover from a stroke. I honestly thought we were going to be faced with making that awful decision to let Bailey go. He really looked just awful. :( The vet explained how they can make a full recovery if they survive the initial incident; and I have since done a lot of reading and have found that they really are very different than strokes in people. |
I hope Bailey continues to get better. :) |
Just now seeing this LJ, sending prayers for Bailey to continue to improve. |
Bailey is being discharged at 4:30PM this afternoon. I will update later on. :) We are so excited that he is going home! |
That's great news. I never knew that about strokes in dogs. |
I'm so happy that Bailey is being discharged today!!!!! Sending get well prayers for him! |

So sorry to hear about these sick babies..its good to hear Bailey is doing better |
Bailey is doing better each day! You can tell he is so happy to be home. He is even barking again! The only residual we can see is a slight head tilt and he ambulates a bit sideways. Other than that, he is back to normal! :) We are all SO thankful! |
Great to hear good news about Bailey, and hope his recovery continues til he's back to normal. |
What a happy update on Bailey. Glad the recovery is going so quickly. And Bailey, you keep up that barking! ;) |

I am just seeing this thread. I pray Bailey is continuing to improve each day. I know everyone has to be ecstatic that he is home and is doing so well. |
Thanks, Lila. :) He is doing very well. He does still have a little bit of a head tilt, but way less than at first. |
I can't believe I missed this thread. I'm very happy Bailey is home and doing so well. I've learned something about strokes in dogs at the same time. I can imagine how scared they must have been when they found him. |
It was very frightening. I thought he was going to die. :( I had never seen a stroke in a dog and was amazed at how they recover. Definitely a learning experience, although I would have preferred another way to learn about them. |
Wow, I just saw this thread - what a frightening experience for Bailey and his people! I am glad to hear he is doing better and is home with his loved ones.:) |
Just seeing this...I'm sorry that Bailey and your family had to experience this but, so relieved to see that the outcome is promising!:) As a Grand-dogma to :animal36:animal36:animal36 six :animal36:animal36:animal36 Grand-dogs...I know how bad it hurts to see your children go through this kind of experience...:( |
That it does. :( |
