I'm glad Norman is in rehab. That puts him a little closer to being able to go home. Sending prayers that he will continue to improve. |
I am so glad that he is in rehab and I hope Claire can relax a bit and get some rest. She's had so much to deal with lately and she needs a break...so does Norman. I will keep praying...Claire is so dear to my heart! |
Update I just wanted to stop by and say I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and the New Year will be the best one yet for our loved ones and for our country. Claire hasn't been on YT very much at all. She is just exhausted with everything happening at the holidays and with Norman. He is coming along. They mentioned to him that he may not be able to drive at all. That is so hard for him to try to accept. I'm sure we all can relate to how that would feel. He has his moments when he tends to lash out at Claire. The doctor said that is to be expected with a stroke patient. He may be able to come home the first of the year. She has to get everything in the home set up for his return. He will be receiving therapy and whatever nursing care he needs at home. I know Claire is pretty down at times. Prayers are still appreciated for both Norman and Claire. I'm sure this isn't going to be very easy, even when he is finally home. God Bless all of you! |

I'm so sorry to hear this, I know Claire has been so sick herself this year, I hope this doesn't cause her another relapse. Prayers to all, and this are a great reminder that health is the most important gift of all. |

Still having some difficulty,but he has improved some,can't focus from his left,Drs. said he will probably not to ever drive again,but we still have hope. Thank God! I'm so happy that Norman will come home today. I know that this is going to be challenging for everyone. I guess the key word will be "patience." I pray that he continues to recover and will be close to his old sweet self very soon. I can't wait to see all of you. God Bless you and keep you strong too. We love you!! |

Thank You! Just stopping by with an update. Norman is doing pretty well at home. He even made himself some coffee [Keurig] and thawed out some frozen pancakes for himself. That sounds simple, but it is a big step for a stroke patient. Claire has been sick again with bronchitis. She seemed better yesterday. She is back on the meds again. We both appreciate all of your kind thoughts and prayers. I know they have made a huge difference. Thank you so very much. :) |

Thanks, Carol for the update. The fact that he can do even simple things now is a step in the right direction. I'm sorry to hear that Claire's sick again though and continued prayers for both of them. |
