I also will be praying along with everyone else for a special blessing of healing for you both, I know these times are very hard but keep your faith held high and watch the miraculous works the God we serve is capable of!!! *Love & Faith* |
I just saw this now. So sorry about the news. How are things now going? |
Yes please let us know how Bruce is doing. |
Bruce got a call last week, they want to do the biopsy on the 2nd December. Problem is, they said he would have to come off the Plavix for 5 days beforehand. Bruce explained that his cardiologist has said he cannot come off the Plavix. They suggested he call the cardiologist and see if there is an alternative to the Plavix he can take. So, he calls the cardiologist only to find out he was out of town until yesterday. So call the doctors office that scheduled the biopsy and let them know. They cancelled his appointment for the biopsy until he can see the cardiologist. So, he sees the cardiologist on the 2nd December now. But, he is doing fine. He has got the "canning bug"! He canned the cranberry sauce we make every couple of years (that is how long it lasts, we make so much) and yesterday we did apple butter. He wants to know what we can can next!!!! He took over the cooking a few years ago, but he had never canned anything. I always did the canning. |
Just now seeing this... keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers... |
I am just reading this. You and Bruce will be in my prayers. I will check back for an update after his appointment tomorrow. Mmmmm apple butter... that reminds me I have some in my fridge. Ahhh, a little slice of heaven. ;) |
Bruce has his biopsy on Monday (13th), but his pulmonologist he has to follow up with will be taking a Christmas vacation, so he won't get the results until the 28th December. (They made it for the 20th and then called and rescheduled for the 28th). So we will have to wait until after Christmas for the results. |
Oh, my! It's hard to wait. I will keep you all in my prayers. |
I'm so sorry that you and Bruce are going through this very difficult time. You are both in my prayers.. |
Sending healing prayers... |
Prayers are with you |
I am so very sorry to hear about Bruce's cancer. I will say a prayer for him that this will eventually be cured. I suppose canning is his way of keeping as busy as possible so he doesn't dwell on this. Big warm hugs to you both. |
Pulling for you guys. You are in my thoughts. |
I will be praying for you and Bruce, and I will also pray for the doctors for wisdom. Always remember God is in control. |
just seeing this. I will definitely be sending thoughts and prayers your way. Hugs to you and Bruce. |
I am so sorry i know what you are going through and i will pray that you both stay strong. hugs to you both |
Oh my, having to wait that long for results has to be frustrating. I am so sorry to read this thread. I guess I missed when you posted last month. Sounds like your husband has been through much the same as my husband. He was a cardiac patient, even had a complete abdominal aortic aneurysm repair/graft, along with several heart attacks and a blown out right coronary artery. I really felt like once we got him through all that and a new med he was on was helping his heart numbers, that we were home free -- but he kept having so much pain. I pushed for him to get an MRI and they found he too, had lung cancer. Unfortunately his was spread to the bones by the time it was detected. I pray that your husband's is a treatable type of lung cancer that has not metastized yet. We met many people that were beating it when Roy was going through chemo and radiation treatments. They can do SO much now as long as they detect it in time. Pls don't let them delay anymore than absolutely necessary. Every day counts to get treatment started! I will keep you both in my prayers! Your strength will be needed. May God be with you both, guiding the doctors with the best treatment possible and blessing your husband with a complete healing of this horrible disease. May He wrap you both in His protection, giving you strength, comfort and peace. Amen. |
May God give you both the strength that you need both mentally and physically to get through this difficult time. My prayers are with you always |
Sending prayers for you and Bruce. |
Praying for Bruce's biopsy to go well today. Isn't there another doctor that can at least give you the results sooner. I understand the pulmonologist would have to go over it and map out treatment but it seems like a long time to wait. |
I just saw this today for the first time. I am so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you, today especially and throughout this. |
Thinking of you both today. |
Just stopping by to give you a big hug Sylvia. Be strong. |
Thank you. Bruce had his biopsy yesterday. This morning he was having breathing problems so I called 911 and he was taken to the hospital He has a collapsed lung (a puncture in his lung) from the biopsy. I just called the hospital a few minutes ago and was able to talk to him. He is resting, but he is tired and he hasn't seen a pulmonologist yet. (I had also called his pulmonologist's office this morning to let them know he had been taken to the ER via ambulance) Please continue your prayers for him. |
Both of you have been through so much, and you are in my thoughts and heart, especially today. Please know how much others care, and you have so many of us who are praying for you and Bruce. I hope the love you share together and the prayers from others help to keep you strong. Love and prayers are very powerful, and I hope the doctors find the right treatment to heal Bruce. |
THey are continuing. He as a lot of great people pulling for him. |
Prayers are definetly coming your way. One small one that comes to mind is "I've been healed by your stripes". As I think of other quotes from the Bible I'll be sending them to you. My hubby and I are trying to quit too. It's so darn hard. |
I am saying a prayer for both of you. God Bless You. |
just to say i am thinking of you |
Prayers for you and your dear husband. I hope he improves quickly and is able to start treatment soon. Hugs to you. |
