I am so happy you get to go home. That was so sweet of DH to do that. How are you feeling? |
Much much better, I know I would get better rest at home, hoping the Dr. makes rounds early like he did this AM, and I get to go home before noon. |
that was very sweet of your hubby. I'm glad to hear that you are doing better |
Feel better soon! Your card (from your babies, of course!) teared me up! That was so sweet of them to send you a card. I bet they miss you oh so much! |
Thank You, Robin, I had a good laugh when I found it, then teared up later. My husband is not an "emotional" type guy, so this was out of character. I had to feel guilty because I told him I miss waking up to Cooper licking my eyelids...I never thought I would say that! :D I didn't tell him I missed him, but I will when he comes in the morning. I am ready to go home, I feel so much better, |
I'm just now seeing this. I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better and are home. It's hard to get rest in the hospital. Not only did you miss your babies, but I'm sure they missed you. I mean, who else's eyelids would Cooper care to lick?! lolol Take your time with my bow order. It can wait. The most important thing now is your health. |
Amy...glad to know you are well enough to go home, great news! Your dh is a sweetheart, that card is the best:) |
Thank you everyone...I am glad to be back home, just trying to get used to new meds (insulin), hopefully I will not have to be on for very long. My hands and feet are like blocks of ice! I am on a really low carb diet, and have to walk daily...I really want off this medicine! |
So glad to hear that you are doing better and are recovering at home. Learning to live with Diabetes can be "painful". I have Type 2 and take Actos. So far so good, but learning to "eat right" is not fun!!!!! I have always eaten a fairly healthy diet, but I do love the "evil carbs". :D :D :D |
feel better I'm glad you are feeling better and they have found out what was making you ill. For some reason doctors seem to have a hard time deciding about diabetes. It took my doctor almost 2 years to find the right answer. I had to pretty much tell him what I had. Duuuuuh, I had gestasional diabetes 4 times with pregnancy. Now I'm type 2 on Metformin and they just added Actos. I hate the diet and my dh says I am the worlds worst diabetic. I can't stay away from sugar and the fake stuff make my sugar count go up. You'd think that knowing if we eat right and exercise and lose weight we wouldn't have to take meds anymore. I keep telling myself tomorrow...but I keep blowing it off. I guess I need to care more. Truly hope you feel better and do what you need to do to not have to take the meds any longer. Get better and home to your boys. |
So sorry to hear this Amy! So good of you to worry about everyone's orders when you are laying in a hospital bed! Now that you have let them know what is going on, just lay back and get better! Concentrate on yourself and getting well. Everyone can wait a little longer for their bows. Will keep you in my prayers! |

Feel better! Hugs and prayers coming your way. Seriously, don't worry about orders or business now; your health is the most important thing right now (this is the pot calling the kettle black as I am a worrier, but do as I say not as I do :p). |
keep improving Amy. so sorry to hear what you've been through but I hope it's getting better every day for you. |
Thank you everyone, I go back to the Dr. next week for a check up, and I am going to make an eye appointment next week as well. I accomplished a lot over the past 2 days: I completed 8 orders, cooked a big pot of veggie soup (and a separate dinner for hubby), walked the dogs 2x, bought groceries and did some laundry, so I feel like things are getting back to normal. It is very discouraging when your mind wants to do things, but your body is not cooperating! Everyone has been so sweet to me, sending me e-mails on FB or here, I truly do appreciate it, it is nice to know people are "rooting" for me, I learn something new every day, a lot of foods marked sugar free are loaded with carbs, so they are not as great as I thought :thumbdown . Someone posted about metformin, it didn't work for me, my blood sugar went up, and then they added glipizide, and I got sicker. I know that was probably because I already had the ketoacidosis, but for right now I am taking 40 units of insulin 2x per day...hopefully I can get off of it ASAP...even with our great insurance it will cost over $100 per month  |
I'm so sorry you were sick. My grandmother was diabetic. I hope you are feeling better now and don't have to take that stuff for very long, either. |
