Please say a prayer for Carol Nikki's mom I called Carol last night to let her know Nikki and I would be coming Friday. She sounded terrible and was very distressed. I got the feeling from what she was saying that she was sick and in some sort of isolation. I emailed her daughter and told her I was concerned about Carol and was she sick and in isolation? Her daughter said that Carol had C-Diff, a very bad intestinal bacterial infection and was in isolation. They told her she could visit but would have to wear a mask and gown. She is going to let me know when Carol is no longer contagious. I feel so bad knowing how she looks forward to seeing Nikki. It is very contagious and I can't risk exposing my daughter who is on immune lowering meds for her arthritis or Nikki. I would appreciate your good thoughts and prayers for Carol to recover from this. Thanks |
Oh, Patti, that's terrible. I'll be saying special prayers that she can recover. That is so sad.:( I wonder if they were giving her antibiotics that brought this on. |
Oh, how awful. Will keep her in my thoughts and prayers during this bacterial infection. |

Sending prayers for Carol, I hope thing get better for her soon. |
Carol will definitely be in my prayers, Patti. As are you and Nikki. Please let us know once you hear more about Carol. |
Sending good thoughts and prayers to Carol, Nikki and of course your and your family as well. :) |
Carol's daughter left me a message last night. Carol is not responding to the antibiotic she was on for the C-diff so they are trying another one. Her short of breath is from pneumonia. She had pneumonia a couple of months ago and was on antibiotics. That is probably what brought on the C-diff. She has a bed sore on her back and will not drink anything. She is very depressed. I am going to try and call Carol tonight and see if she is able to talk. As in the past, the only way I know how to get her to cooperate is to remind her Nikki needs her. He is what has kept her going. So please keep the prayers going. I will update as I know more. Thanks |
That's so sad.:( Sending prayers... |
I called Carol tonight and she sounded a tiny bit better as far as her breathing. She is very scared and kept asking about Nikki. I told her I would call her every day and Nikki and I will be out as soon as she is out of isolation. Thanks for the prayers. |
Sendings prayers for Carol and hopefully she'll see Nikki soon. That will be the best medicine:) |
Patti, I'll be praying for Carol to feel better soon. Do they have her on any probiotics? They should put her on a Lactobacillus capsule. I look forward to seeing pics of Nikki and Carol together. |
Sending more prayers for Carol that she will soon be well. |
Sending prayers to Carol for strength and a steady recovery. Much love to you and your family as well. |
Thanks. Carol is doing a little better and is in better spirits. She will be on antibiotics for 4 more days and then they will retest her for the C-diff. I am hopeful Nikki and I can go see her towards the end of the week. |
Praying that Carol recovers soon and can have another visit with you and Nilkki. Keeping your daughter in my thoughts and prayers also. Hugs to you for all you do... Bless you, Patti. |
I'm praying for Carol to recover from the infection and pneumonia. That poor lady. I'm sure she's glad to hear from you each time you call. So sad that her kids can't be there for her. |
Praying that Carol is doing better... |
I have been calling Carol daily to check on her and she seems to be doing better. SHe hopes to be out of isolation soon. However, her daughter called me the other day and said that she put her in to Hospice. It's a mystery to me why she did that and I questioned her need to be there but I can't really interfere. When I talk to Carol she sounds optimistic about getting out of isolation and seeing Nikki but she is very tired. I am going to go out next week when she is out of isolation and see why they put her in Hospice. I feel so bad for her. Please keep her in your prayers. |
Gosh! That's a scary situation! Maybe her daughter is going along with recommendations from the Doctors? That would not be good though. I do know the 'Big Gun' antibiotics can make one feel horrible. I will definitely keep her in my prayers... |
