Please say a prayer for my daughter My 25 year old daughter was diagnosed about 3 months ago with a severe inflammatory arthritis. She was seeing a joint doctor for 9 months prior until they decided it was rheumatoid in nature not structural. She is on 3 medicines and they are not doing a thing. Her knees and elbows are affected. She just had her knee drained a week ago, now both elbows are filled with fluid and she can't staighten them and is in a lot of pain. I feel so helpless. She is going to be moving out to her own apartment in a few weeks and her Dad and I are nervous as we had wanted her to wait until her condition was better controlled. She is so young to have her life so complicated by this. She is always tired, in pain cannot ever dance, where anything but flats or do any exercise without making her condition worse. She handles pain really well and rarely complains but today she is at her breaking point so if you could please keep her in your prayers to get this disease under control. Also any tips are appreciated. Thanks |
Patti, I'm so sorry your daughter is suffering this. I had severe arthritis symptoms in my early 30s brought on by Lyme disease and some days it took me an hour just to get out of bed. 20 years later I'm just fine, but I still remember how bleak my outlook was back then. I hope they can find an effective treatment for her PDQ. |
Patti, I'm so sorry. I'll keep your daughter and your family in my prayers. |
I am so sorry that your daughter is going through so much...I will definitely keep her in my thoughts! |

Will be praying for all of you. God Bless you... |
Ah Patti Im so sorry. When our kids hurt, we hurt. I will put her in our prayers. Hugs to you too. |
Patti, I will pray for your daughter that God will touch her joints and take away the horrible disease and pain. I, too, have arthritis in my fingers (from overuse over the years) so bad that I can't bend them when I wake up in the mornings. Then, if I don't move them frequently during the day, I can't bend them and the pain is unbearable. I feel for your daughter. She is just too young to have to cope with this. I think sometimes sickness can come on so slowly sometimes that we just learn to adjust and learn to cope with it, although it is still a nuisance. |
Sending prayers to your daughter and family. So sorry she's going through this at such a young age. |
Patti, i'm so sorry your daughter is going thru this. I FEEl her pain. I have sever inflammatory arthritis. At first they thought i may have Rheumatoid arthritis..but my rheumatologist was great and tested for EVERYTHING on day 1...including Lyme. I'm surprised her doctor didnt run a Lyme test...it really is the first thing that a lot of doctors check for nowadays. 2 weeks is a long time to wait if you're in pain. They cant get her in any faster? |
I'm so sorry about your daughter Patti, I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers, sending hugs. |
sure hope they can get her pain under control soon. I will definitely say a prayer for her and your family. |
