Please, we need your prayers!! 1 Attachment(s) Three weeks ago I became an Aunt for the first time. When Taylor was born she and her mom had to stay in the hospital an extra few days as she was born with a high temperature. They gave her antibiotics and had her tested for an infection. All went well and she was able to go home. Yesterday my brother called saying Taylor wasn't eating, sleeping more than usual and throwing up so they decided to take her to the doctor. She was just admitted to the hospital a little bit ago, they say something is wrong with her little heart. We should know more later on. So please everyone say a prayer for Taylor and that she will be alright. We are all are just so worried right now. Taylor is beautiful. I will keep your precious little niece in my prayers that the doctors will be able to find out what is going on with her heart and treat her successfully and that she makes a complete recovery. There are so many advances in medicine it is absolutely amazing what the medical community is able to do for these tiny little ones. :hug: |

Thank You everyone for your prayers!! They are appreciated very much!! So here is an update.... Taylor was admitted to the hospital when they found her heart rate was 275, normal for an infant is about 140. They administered medicine right away to shock her heart to normal. She has been diagnosed with WPW, Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome. Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome — Diagnosis and Treatment at Mayo Clinic Her heart rate will have to be monitored and she will have to take medicine every day for it for possibly the rest of her life. There is a chance though that she may out grow it at 6 months old. Other than that though they said she should live a perfectly normal life and at this point she doesn't need surgery for it. The doctors also said that they were lucky they caught it early as untreated the condition leads to cardiac arrest. So Thank You God that they will able to find this early and that Taylor will be alright!! Thank You again everyone for your prayers!! I can't tell how much they are appreciated and how relieved we are that Taylor will be fine!! |
