Prayers needed please. My husband had a same day surgery yesterday and we were sent home with pain meds and discharge instructions and after a very very long night of misery and extreme pain he has been admitted to the hospital today for IV pain control and further testing to make sure there is nothing wrong with the surgical sight. Please keep him in your prayers that he makes a quick recovery and that this extreme pain gets better. He is on a morphene drip now and it is still not helping his pain level. |
I am so sorry. It makes you feel so helpless doesn't it. Prayers for pain management and for strength to endure. ~Joanne~ |
yes it does make me feel so helpless. He keeps begging for me to help him and there was nothing more that I could do. It was awful. I think the morphene is starting to help a little bit, take the edge off atleast. The doctor should be in soon to talk to us and then start some tests. Thanks so much! |
Pain after surgery just sucks. :( If the morphine isn't working they can give him additional drugs. It's hard when your pain gets "out of control" to bring it back down to a level that is manageable. I'm so sorry that he is going through this~been there done that :( |
I definitely understand what you're going through. We've had a similar situation with my husband. He spent most of April in and out of the hospital with pancreatitis and gall bladder issues/surgery. Just breathe deeply and stay calm. The hospital is the best place for them to get control of his pain issues. I'll be sending positive thoughts and prayers. |
Prayers for you and your husband:) |
Sorry to hear about your husband. I will keep him in my prayers. Hopefully the morphine will start to help soon. |
So sorry your husband isn't doing well. I hope he heals quickly. |
I'm so sorry. Sending prayers that he will be free of pain... |
I sending prayers for your husband. Also, I just want you to keep an open mind where pain meds are concerned. I realize Morphine is a powerful drug and has helped many people manage their excruciating pain but it didn't work at all for me post-op. It never got me to a comfortable or even manageable place. After 24 hrs, my blessed Dr. changed to a different pain med and I was fine. Now I know, everyone's different. Speak up, your husband's Dr. knows other options. Bless you both. |
You and your husband are in my prayers. I hope he is feeling better really soon. |
