Prayers for Patti (Cali, Pixie & Roxie's Mom)
 
Please pray for Patti and her dear Dad. He has cancer and was just put into the Hospice program. He is in terrible pain, which hopefully will lessen with the help of Hospice. Patti is so sad, stressed and worried. My heart breaks for her and her Dad. Please pray for her Dad's pain to be controlled and that he can rest comfortably. Please pray for Patti to have our Lord's comfort and and the strength she needs in the days ahead. She sounded so exhausted this evening when I talked to her. Patti...I think of you and your Dad day and night. Sending lots of love and hugs.

Im so sorry. I have 4 friends with cancer I pray for daily I will ad her dad to my prayers.

So sorry to hear this.

We lost my husbands dad in Nov. Its hard very hard.


I worked at a honey house and I was introduced to a Ojibwa. The website is ojibwatea.com.

I am not an employee however I have spoken in detail to the owner and she is a very nice very helpful person.

Thanks my dear friend Connie for starting this thread and for always being there to talk to to and cry with. Thanks everyone for your prayers. I have never experienced someone dying from advanced cancer so the amount of pain my 90 year old Dad is in is unbelievable. We tried 5 different pain meds and combinations and they never even touched his pain. My Dad is so strong and has never complained. We put him in Hospice yesterday and our hope is today they will have gotten his pain under control. I lost my Mom 3 years ago this month so this is hitting doubly hard. I have been my Dad's primary caregiver for 3 years and I can't imagine my life with out him. Thanks again.

Oh Patti :(...I am so sorry, so very sorry. I can really relate here, sadly, bc I've been in your shoes. My Mom got cancer when I was 19 (she was 42) - I also cared for her over the time she died. She died when I was 21 (she was 44) - and what she went through during that time was excruciating. I am now 42, and still after all this time, I cannot believe what I saw a human being go through with cancer. Unless you've been there, you can't explain it to someone else.

So, please know that I understand - and that I'm here for you, if you need anything. I will keep you in my thoughts. Many hugs and much love to you.

{btw, they have tried morphine, I assume? that's usually what they use for advanced cancer. and does he have a central line in, so they can give it IV?}

Thanks. That had to be just horrible to see your Mom go through that and so young. They tried morphine pills but they didn't work. Hospice was to start him on liquid morphine every 4 hours today and we are praying it ends his pain.

I am so sorry Patti, We are going through the exact same thing with my BF's dad, it is such a horrible thing. My prayers are with you, your dad and your family. Hugs.

Patti, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I couldn't say anything else better than Ann did. Except for our ages, her story sounds so much like mine (I was sixteen when my mom was diagnosed and 19 when she passed - mom was 55). Cancer is....well, it's indescribable for those who haven't experienced it. Please know I'm here for you if you ever need an ear or a shoulder. {hugs}

Patti - I am so very sorry - :( I know how close you are to him and my heart goes out to you and your family - if you need anything please call ! I hope he is as comfortable as he can be - better than he can be ....and that any medication he\'s on now is taking away pain.

I was so sad to read this.
