My dad My dad had a heart attack and I am currently sitting and waiting for him to get out of a procedure. We didn't get to see him before they took him as we were not here yet. They had to take him sooner than expected due to further developments. Please pray for him and my mom. Thank you! |

Update: The Dr. said my Dad dodged a big one. His main artery was 100% blocked and he has another artery with 2 blockages one is 90% and the other 67% which he will have to have fixed in a month. He is not out of the woods yet but the Dr. seemed positive. It has been a long night and a long day. I'm home now and he was resting comfortably when we all left. Your continued prayers are coveted. Thanks all! This group means so much to me! Update: My dad came home late this afternoon. He can't do anything for 2 weeks until he goes back to the cardiologist. He still has the other 2 blockages to get repaired in a month's time. I really appreciate your continued thoughts and prayers. |

Sending prayers for your Dad! Glad he is home & will get the care that he needs for his health. It is a scary time. My Mom went through this a couple of yrs ago & now she is doing great. They have come so far with advanced technology & medicine, especially in cardiology. |

Update Hi all, Tomorrow May 28th, my Dad is scheduled for his next procedure to take care of his other two blockages. He is scheduled for 9:45. He is very nervous about the whole thing as we all are. He will have to stay overnight and hopefully be home on Friday. If you think about it please remember him in your prayers--especially @ 9:45. Thank you all soooo much! Jamie |

Jamie I am so sorry your Dad had to go through this, I have been in your place, My Dad had a Massive Heart Attack in Feb he works for the railroad and wouldnt you know it happend on the train thank goodness they where close to a RR crossing for the Ambulance to get to him, he had a 100% blocked Artery and one more that is 30% blocked. I can give you some advice that they never did tell my Dad we had to find out the hard way, they will put him on a high dose of Blood Pressure meds make sure to tell him to get up very slow and not just jump up. my dad passed out on me and hit is head pretty hard. Dad also had to go in for a 2nd heart cath about a month ago he was still having pains and hard time breathing but all went well and said it could have been from his Heart Rehab or just the healing process. Update Thanks guys!!! I just got home from the hospital (6:00 pm) Dad's procedure was delayed due to another emergency but they finally took him about 1:40 (he was suppose to be done at 9:45) Everything went well and he looks great! We left after they got him settled in a room. He was anxious for his dinner and they were going to get him up around 6 or so. I am so thankful for my YT family and for all your thoughts and prayers. They are so coveted and precious to me! Right after Dad's heart attack, I told him about this thread and named all the states and yes Sherri, Canada too ;) that had people praying for him. He was very appreciative and very thankful. I have been at a hospital all day. This morning I was at a Children's Hosp. with my son--that was thankfully a very great visit! And since the delay of my Dad' procedure, I was able to get to his hospital in time to see him before he went in. I was very thankful for that too. :D Thanks again, you guys are the best! |
That is awesome news for you and your family. I have to act surprised here even though I just finished reading your pm lol. So glad he will soon be home and you all can relax. Glad to see you gave us Canadians an honorable mention with your dad too;). |
