Thank you all, you are all so encouraging. Although I set up tests through Reflections for the 11th where I had my Mammogram, my primary Dr. wants to see me tomorrow and I will feel better once I talk with him. I have been sleeping like a baby and since I am the oldest here I know my odds. I am not even telling family until I know one way or the other, they have so much on their plate right now and this may be nothing. Again, thank you so much for the prayers. I'm a fighter too Shirl and so glad you beat it TWICE. :) |

I pray your visit with the doctor goes well tomorrow. Will he have had a chance to look at the mammogram results? I understand you not wanting to worry your family. How is the dog walking going? I can't wait to see pictures. So what do you do about walking the dog when the weather is bad? Hopefully you have having some nice weather. |

Yes my Dr. was sent the Mammogram results so he will have some idea of what is going on but I know the tests will tell us more. This man is wonderful and has the greatest way with people and yet tells it like it is which I appreciate. |

It sounds like you have a great doctor. I will continue to pray that you have nothing serious. We will be anxious to hear what the doctor has to say. |
Crapola Joan...I am so sorry..just now seeing this thread. OMG my friend you will get tons of prayers and good thoughts from me and Izzy. Please keep us posted and I have to believe all will be good. |
Joan...I am just now seeing your post. I am so sorry that you are going through this. I will definitely say a prayer for you. Keep the positve attitude...I'm sure everything will be fine! |
Lots of prayers coming your way. |
Thanks so much to all of you dear YTers. Cyndi, I will have to remember "Crapola" it really does describe some things to a tee. |
Joan dear, I am just seeing this! I have you in my prayers as I type. I have beaten breast cancer... 16yrs now! If you have to, you can do it girl! Sending many hugs dear friend. |
a prayer for you This is one of the most scary things a woman can face. I had this 2 years ago and biopsy was fine after 2 months 0f tests and not knowing. There are so many other things it can be...try to keep positive and all or our thoughts and prayers are with you. Loree |
I just got back from my family Dr. who I knew would make me feel like a million. Just answering so many of my questions although I had soaked up about all I could of the reputable sites on the internet. He said where I scheduled the testing will be fine and he said he didn't want to make light of it but just know that most often and even very often in my age group we are not talking cancer. If surgery is needed he wants me to go to a Dr. at the Cleveland Clinic and also there is a good one in Akron and it was the name that I had written down to ask him about. I called the one at the clinic to see if they take my insurance when I got in and they do but he is on medical leave until June 1st or his secretary said could be longer. I'll probably go Akron but if I can have Cleveland Clinic I would prefer but if he's been sick???? Anyway it's tests on the 11th and we'll go from there if need be!! Hugs and many thanks to all of you for your encourging thoughts and prayers. |
Oh Joan I am so happy that your doctor gave you words of encouragement. Hey either Akron or CC is fantastic. I have so many friends who have been to the clinic with diference forms of breast cancer and they are all survivors!! Hang in there I know it's tough until you actually know. Prayers are still coming your way. ;) |
I have heard some very good things about Cleveland Clinic. Joan, I will certainly keep you in my prayers! God bless you. |
I will be praying for you Joan. |
Joan, I am so very happy to hear that your doctor has a positive attitude and is so encouraging. It is so hard to remain strong and positive when your medical staff is less than so. I am keeping ALL positive thoughts for you and as always my dear friend ... you are deep within my heart and prayers. |
After x-rays that enlarge the lump and surrounding tissue and an ultra sound they determined it was a cyst:) I am so glad I didn't ruin my Saturday and Sunday with my daughter with talks of this. Now I can tell them the good news. I got a plane ticket from my son and dil for a trip to visit in Florida in Oct. for Mother's Day when my son's air conditioning business falls off some and I asked them not to buy the tickets until after the 11th and I'd talk to them about it. Now I can have a happy phone call. Guess what my first call was?? To a breeder I let know April 28th and I told her to sell him if she had the chance. She told me she was not even trying to sell him when I wanted him;) so I think that will be the 30th. I am now ready for a new dog in my life. It will be exactly a year since I lost Crystal minus a couple days. I really thought it would take me a couple years but I'm not getting any younger. Thank you all here for your wonderful thoughts and prayers, you are special people. Now we can continue praying for all the rest on this forum that need prayers so badly. Hugs, Joan |
Wonderful news,Joan! I'm so happy that everything worked out for you and now you're ready for another furbaby in your life. :) |
Great news Joan! I am so happy for you! And I think it is wonderful you are ready for a new baby! Can't wait to see pictures! |

He is a Japanes Chin and the only other breed I looked at when looking for Crystal so many years ago. They are clean, quiet and very cat like. Alot of you know my situation in this building and living so close to my neighbors I need a quiet dog but a yorkie needs to bark, it is part of their nature so the JC immediately came to mind when it scared me just to much to go with a Yorkie (I hope everyone will understand) He is house trained but will use a pee pad in the moring. Loves everyone and every dog he ever met Can bark and doesn't. My daughter and I looked one day at another breeder and she is not a dog person and almost went nuts and wanted one. LOL I loved the dog but was not comfortable with the breeder at all. Well here he is but he's 18 months older now. His name is Ace but I may call him Yoshi? He is on the table the other two of pictures of other Chins. |
Thank God for your wonderful news. Precious pups too. |
I am so thrilled to hear the good news as I know you are. You new baby is beautiful. I wish you both the best. |

Thank you all, you are all just the sweetest people ever and those YT prayers are the best. My daughter just called and said "Mom you have your health and your dog, life is good" and she is so right. We are so close and I just love her so much. Yes Ace is his name and if he doesn't mind too much, I may call him Yoshi. The picture was emailed to me so that is how I was able to save and post. as far as taking them with my camera and getting them on my computer, it is still a work in progress. The usb drive my son send has given me alot of room but now I need a spliter to be able to use my usb cord. I'll have it going one of these days. thanks again. Love and hugs from me. |
Wonderful news on your health and your new JC. He is beautiful. Sounds like you have pretty great kids too!! |
