My moms neighbor just killed himself...
 
We just found out that my moms neighbor killed himself. He lives directly across the street from my mom - and years ago I used to babysit in that house - and that is where he killed himself :cry: We knew that he had some problems, but still, he was such a nice man and we would always talk to him and his wife. This is just such an incredibly huge shock.......

He was only 53 years old. Please, please pray for his wife and for his children - for their entire family. His funeral is tomorrow - I just went to my Grandpa's funeral not even 2 weeks ago - I can't believe that I already have to go to another one. This is just so incredibly devastating and heartbreaking :cry:

Suicide is such a horrible thing. Something caused he way too much pain for him to bear. May he rest in peace & his family find some kind of peace.

I'm so sorry! It's heartbreaking when we lose someone and so many questions when it is by suicide...........but something must have been weighing heavy on his mind to the point of not being able to go on. Not that I condone it, but I understand it.

Thank you both so much. He had recently gotten laid off (thanks to our crappy economy) and he did have a drinking problem as well. I think he did use to hit his wife in the past because of his drinking, and I think it all just became too much for him. This really is just such an incredibly huge shock...

Very sad :(. I will be praying for the family. I had an uncle whom I was closed to and he committed suicide. The family had to live for years in agony not knowing why and the pain of losing him. We grieved for about 5 years before it got better. He did not leave any note or any signs that he was about to do it. My heart goes out to this family. In times of economy like this one, I hope people support each other more...even some food going around to the neighbour who losts a job would help a lot.

How horrible. I am so very sorry. What a terrible ending for a troubled person. I will keep his wife and children in my thoughts and prayers along with the residents of the neighborhood. Adding a few extra for you and your mom :hug: :hands:

Wow, how hard this must be for everyone. So sorry. Prayers will be said for you and the family. These hard times are just so difficult. Hope you feel comforted and love during this dark time. Keep us posted on how you are doing. We all wish you well.
