Going For An Xray... I broke both my wrists a few years ago, (on seperate occassions), and this past year I've had alot of discomfort that's been worse this past winter. A couple of days ago I went to pick Amelia up and my wrist gave way. Thankfully I only had her a few inches from the ground and managed to not drop her, but she only weighs 18lb and some days it's painful to lift her. This afternoon I'm going to have both my wrists x-rayed to see if it's arthitis... so please keep your fingers crossed for me that it's not. |
Vicky, prayers for you today. Hugs to Amelia. |
You are in my prayers. |
You are in my prayers, and have fingers crossed. |
Well that was fun... I have to wait 7 - 10 days for someone to read my xray, document the results and then send them to my GP.... so now I just have to wait and see. |
I hope everything's ok. Prayers to you! :) |
Praying that all is well Vicky and that it is not arthritis. |
You are in my extra special thoughts and prayers. We must be soul mates because I have yorkie named Gypsy and Amelia is one of my favourite baby names! |
I hope all goes well with your xray results and I'll be praying for you. Can you buy a wrist support to wear until you get the results? It'll give your wrists a little stability and make it easier to handle Amelia. I have arthritis (everywhere) and there are treatments that can help alleviate the pain. I've had surgery on one wrist, followed by cortisone injections in the same wrist last year. Had to wear a rigid splint for 6 weeks, but it's doing great now. |
