PLEASE PRAY FOR CiCILY
 
Please pray for our friend Cicily, she was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. Christmas day, it has been a really sad day in so many ways. We were not able to get in to the hospital due to the snow, hale and rain we have been having today. I took it upon myself to call 911 earlier this afternoon, I am getting flack from a few for doing so (long story on that :(:mad: ) Later on I was told she was admitted and has pneumonia, I knew she was really bad when I phoned her earlier and she wasn't able to talk to me and hung up. Please Please pray for her, she is 97 and I so much wanted to be there for her at the hospital and feel so bad because we dare not even try to go with the weather situatin. God truely had a hand in my finding out she was so ill, it is amazing how God works in many situations.
Thank you all so much for praying for her needs.

I have found this to be so true in my life also. I am praying for her.

What an ordeal this evening has been I got phone call from my friends power of attorney ( I phoned him first to let him know how ill she was but had to leave message on answer machine ) then I called 911. He phoned me this evening and he told me that overstepped my authority by calling 911, he proceeded to tell me since doing so that I very well may get sent the ambulance bill and also the ER charges and hospital charges, all I can say is I am so thankful that we have family in charge of being power attorney over us, oh my gosh I can't believe his call. Here I did what I felt the right thing to do was and then all of this, my bp was skyrocketing and I let him know that I no longer would listen to him, that I can't afford to be upset.
Here it is Christmas and such a beautiful time and then to have the lack of love shown to me really really seems the pits. Sorry for me rambling, guess I just needed to be able to share my frustrations at the moment. Thanks for listening, Hugs, Patti

OMG, unbelievable. You probably saved her life. I will pray that you have peace and I think the power of attorney needs some prayers for peace too.

Patti, your friend Cicily, you and Jack (and of course the girls) are in my thoughts and prayers. I believe with all my heart and soul that God places us where we need to be - if only ALL of us would listen as well as you do. Please don't let this heartless human that has power of attorney upset you. It sounds like this individual is just waiting for the $$. Sending Gods Blessings to your family.

I truly am sorry that you were treated so badly for just being a true friend. Your friend is fortunate to have you looking out for her. Just because she is 97 doesn't mean that she needs to suffer. I feel sorry for this POA in a way, because one day he will be in her shoes and praying that someone will show him as much compassion as you have shown your friend. God help him. Praying for your friend's health and that God will give you the peace you deserve for being a friend. :girl_hug:

I am so sorry for all the stress you are enduring. I will keep your friend and you in my prayers. Souns like the guy with power of attorney would rather her die at home than have the expense of an ambulance. Besides I don't think you could be held responsible for anything financially. He was just being a jerk. Thank God she has a friend like you.

You did the right thing. How could anyone else think otherwise unless they didn't want her alive??? That guy has a screw loose. :mad:

I hope you are doing better now and have been able to calm down - I'm sorry you are having this hassle just because you cared about your friend.

Especially want to say," thank you from the bottom of my heart to Doodlebug (Jean)your messaging me, calming me when I so needed it, my BP had sky rocketed, I won't even tell you what the numbers were, VERY SCAREY, thank you so much for helping me when I so needed someone to be able to converse with. Your an angel."
I truely believe that God places people in certain places at certain times.

Hi Patti, I hope and pray that Cicily is doing much better today since she is receiving medical attention thanks to you. I am here for you any time, please know that. You are the kind of friend that any person would be so lucky to have... one in a million. Cicily is Blessed to have you in her life. It is scary about your blood pressure, please take care of yourself and don't let that crazy man get to you. It must be really miserable to be him. ~ Jean
