Please keep my Granddaughter in your prayers Please keep my granddaughter, Allison, in your prayers. My granddaughter was doing hand stands and her elbow hyper-extended. We spent most of the night in the emergency room. At first they were sure she broke her growth plate in her right elbow. Then they decided it was just hyper-extended. The doctor gave her pain meds, stuck her in a sling and finally let us go home. She tried going to school, but the pain was just too great. So JoOnni picked her up and brought her home. The pain did not let up all day, so it was back to the hospital again. This doctor rechecked the x-rays and the radiologist's report. The radiologist wasn't sure if it was broken or not. (A break in the growth plate may not show up for a week.) We need to wait a week to find out. It will then show up in the new x-rays if it is broken. She has been in such pain that he went ahead and put her in a half cast, to help support it and changed the pain medications. Hope fully she will be able to rest. (She was crying in her sleep last night and again today when she tried to sleep.because it hurt so bad.) So please pray for some relief from this pain and for it not to be broken. Needless to say, I didn't get much posted today. Sorry. Bobbi |
Bobbi, I am so sorry, I hope the pain goes away for your granddaughter and she hasn't broken her elbow. Give Allison a hug and I hope tomorrow is a better day. |

Ouch!! Sending prayers for a speedy recovery. Hopefully the pain will lessen with the half cast. Fortunately kids heal much faster than the rest of us. |

Oh that poor little girl. How terrible that she is in so much pain. I do hope things turn out positive for her. She sure has a wonderful support group. Your such a wonderful person and one I'd love to meet someday. Hugs and prayers are going your way. |

Thank you everyone. This new pain med seems to be giving her a little relief. The half cast helps keep it protected as much as can be expected. She is one that is all over the bed when she sleeps. So that is not a good thing. When she bumps it.. it hurts so bad. I love her so much and would rather it had happened to me instead. Your prayers have helped her, I know. Now all we can do is to wait and see. You are all wonderful and I appreciate your thought and prayers for her. |

That poor girl! I'm so sorry she's in such awful pain! I'll say a prayer for her and I hope it doesn't turn out to be broken. Gosh...it makes me cringe to think of pain in the elbow area. |
Update She has a doctors appointment this afternoon and we will know more then. She has gotten some relief from the new medication she is on but any trauma to a bone is painful. Thank you all for your prayers. I know the prayers are helping. Kids are so resilient and for that I am grateful. Hugs to all of you. Bobbi |
I am so sorry to be just seeing this. Prayer's coming for your granddaugher Bobbi. I hope the doctor's appointment today goes well. You hate to see them in pain.
