prayers for my dad, victim of hate crime
 
I'm feeling useless right now and don't know where else to turn, so here I am...

My parents live in an awful neighborhood full of crime. My dad works so hard to have a few simple pleasures in life like his hot tub, mustang, and motorcycle. Well last night I got a call from my mom at 1:30am telling me that someone used a bomb to blow up his convertible mustang, they cut the top and put it inside. I just planned a trip to Ocean City for them in September and my dad loved taking that car to the beach...

If there's anything good in this awful situation, thankfully my dad installed 3 surveillance cameras on the property a while ago. I pray that his heart heals, that my family is able to stay safe surrounded by these crazy people, and that he gets justice. The FBI is hopefully getting involved because the local police are useless. The working theory is that it was done by kids...

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around all this. Sorry for the huge vent...:(

How incredibly scary!! I hope those cameras caught what is necessary to nail whoever did this to the wall. Prayers for your family and their continued safety

This is such a senseless crime. I cannot imagine the hate that some people harbor. My thoughts :hug: and prayers :hands: will be with your family.

oh wow! Im soooo sorry to hear about this. I swear I wonder where SOME kids get their morals from. Why they think its their right to destroy someone else's things. It blows my mind!

Its too bad your parents neighborhood has gone down hill so much. Maybe its time for a move into a new neighborhood? If possible?

I hope insurance covers his 'Stang and hes able to replace it and that they catch the idiots who did this!!

I'm so sorry this happened. I can't believe how low some people can sink. At least nobody got hurt. Luckily nobody was in or near the car!

That is awful and fortunately no one was injured. I agree it may be time for them to move...

I am so sorry this happened to your dad. Thank God he was not hurt. Where does he live? I hope they find the people responsible for this. (((Hugs)))

I'm so sorry but thankful no one was physically hurt.

I never understand why the misfits of society choose to do these things. I too hope the FBI gets involved, the punks are caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!

I'm thankful no one was hurt. I have an aunt and uncle who lived in the same place all of their married lives (50+years) and it is now crime ridden and not safe at all. My uncle is deceased now and my aunt lives there alone. They have had police chase drug dealers across their back yard and they have found trash bags of money and dope in their yard where they were dropped because the police were after the druggies. They know the location of crack houses and drug dealers in the neighborhood. My aunt's kids have tried for years to get them to move, even before my uncle died, but they wouldn't and my aunt doesn't intend to leave where she has lived all these years and where her kids grew up. It's a constant worry for her kids and the rest of the family.

First thank goodness no one was hurt....second I am so sorry that your dad and family are going through this senseless and terrible crime. I hope and pray that the FBI gets involved and finds those that did this. Let's all pray that the cameras are of help.

That's terrible! What is wrong with people?!?! I will keep your family in my prayers that they are safe and nothing else happens, and that they catch the low-life worthless scums who did this.

That sounds like the town my parents both grew up in, my aunt still lives there, and my grandmother still goes to church there. It's gotten so bad, my aunt got her purse stolen at the church! But being old and set in her ways, my grandmother still wants to go to that church. Not to mention the crimes, drugs, etc. A couple months ago a kid was shot outside my aunts house by the cops!

What an awfull post. I'm so glad noone was injured. Hopfully those camera will be of some help. Why...How can someone be so hatefull???? Make sure they still go on vacation!!! They need it. Maybe someone in the neighborhood also saw something. Let us know the outcome. Take care.
