I think he has learned his lesson. They were very frightened when it turned dark. I had a long talk with my son, before they were found. I reminded him that when they were found he needed to be careful of how he reacted. He would be so relieved at first and then so mad that they had pulled a stupid stunt like this. To think of what could have happened to them. Anyone could have picked them up.

I think this woke my son up. He has been working graveyard and then having a 19 year old neighbor stay the night with them while he works. They used to spend the night with us. But it is easier for Mike to have them at home. (He is single right now) Mike is now transfering to day shift.

I plan to have my own private talk with my grandson in a couple of days.

I want to thank all of you again... your prayers helped so much. I am eternally grateful to all of you.

My ankle is better this morning.. as long as I don't walk on it. (I made it to the couch and the computer, so I could thank you guys and make sure you know they are safe.) But it isn't swollen as bad and that is good.

I am just reading this. I am glad it has a happy ending and I am glad your ankle is doing better. I hope you get some rest today.

Thank you. It was indeed a miracle... And I am so thankful God sent that farmer to keep those two little ones safe. I am eternally grateful. When I think of what could have happened...... But they are alive and well... and I don't think they will ever try something so stupid again.

Thank GOD it all turned out well. I couldn't get your poor family out of my head last night. :( Praise the Lord - I am SO relieved for all of you! Bless that wonderful man who picked them up.

I'm so sorry about your ankle. I've been there - it hurts A LOT. :( Big hugs...I hope it feels better very soon.

If you know about children being on milk cartons years ago -- that's because it started here in Iowa, when Johnny Gosch was 12 yrs old and delivering morning newspapers - he disappeared and despite a great deal of searching has never been found again

Actually, they rode their bikes out there. One of the tires went flat.. and they could no longer ride it. That is why they were trying to get some help. And yes, the person who stopped to help could have been a bad person. But, thank God, he wasn't. When I think about what could have happened to those two... it makes me ill. Praise God for returning them to us unharmed.

They are both very sorry they made bad choices and worried everyone so. They were both pretty scared when it got dark. I am just thankful that they are safe. They will be old and grey before they get ungrounded.

Yep, I'm behind on my YT reading also. Glad they were found and hope they learned lessons. I have two teenagers, it's not an easy job raising them! Stay strong!

Glad your ankle is doing better too. :hands: :hands: Will keep praying for everyone to have patience and understanding with the whole situation, and praying your ankle heals fast.

Thank you. Prayer always works. I think this has been a wake up call for my son. And I know that my grandson is so sorry he worried everyone. He understands what could have happened to them. My daughter, Mikes twin sister, had a good idea. She thought that Omri should have to come to everyones house and work off the money spent on gas... looking for him. That will also make a lasting impression.

I am sorry that I missed what was going on for you and your grandson but glad that I caught the tail end and he has been found safe! The power of prayer is amazing.

With gas @ $4.00 gallon they will be working for the rest of their summer vacation;)

Thank you. I could never have imagined the helplessness you feel. I was not prepared. I don't think anyone could be. But thanks to God.. and lots of prayers... it turned out alright.

Oh... I agree... he will be quite a while paying it back. And I think it has made quite an impression on him. I am just so thankful they are ok.

Bobbi, I am so sorry I missed this post and didn't send out prayers right away, I haven't been here to YT the past few days really with all that's going on here. I'm so glad the kids were found and nothing bad happened to them. Oh I would have been just beside myself if I was his family. Thank God the man that picked them up wasn't a bad person and called the police. I sure hope they learned their lesson and will never do this again. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayer and hope your ankle heals up soon. You take gentle care of yourself and don't over do things, you hear me??!!

I have never known such horror before and I hope never to have to go through that again. The kids are both ok.. and that is what is important. I don't think either of them will ever pull something like that again. They were scared out of their minds. The farmer who picked them up was an Angel.. I am so thankful to him. Bless him.

Can you put any weight on your ankle yet? If not, you really need to get it checked out. I felt much better once I had the support braces/boots. :thumbup:

Yes, I do believe that farmer is an angel, in the world today, it makes me sick to think what could have been. I'm glad your ankles feeling better, just don't push it, give yourself plenty of time to heal. Maybe your grandson could come over and help you out with things & it would give you two time to have some talks?

I do have an ankle brace in the first aide kit.. I don't know why I didn't think of that. Thank you for the idea. It will help support it. I can put weight on it today, I just have to be careful not to twist it again. The support will help with that. Thanks, Bobbi

That is the plan. I have a garage that needs straightened out and some flowers that need some attention. I can sit and talk with him while he does these. I love him so much... and I have a few stories to tell him about things that have happened to other little ones.. that were not as fortunate as he was. We used to care for foster kids and I think it is time for him to be educated on some of the things I have seen. Not in graphic detail.. just some of the highlights.

Bobbi, I understand what you are saying about foster kids. I am getting ready to adopt an 11 year old, in fact our court date is tomorrow at 1:30pm.
I have a granddaughter who is 13 and now I will be adopting an 11 year old!
Her mother was murdered in Sanford, Florida. Talk about the stories to tell your grandson.
Just happy he is home and alright. :hands: Hope your ankle is doing better. :thumbup: Dar.
