Oh bless her heart and yours. May I ask a question? Is it possible the part that got left is the part that is causing the headaches? I am praying it's not but I just don't know much about all this. I couldn't even imagine. Sending prayers and hugs to you and your family. |
I will definately say a prayer for Michelle - my heart goes out to her husband and their three boys too. I wish I had some knowledge to pass along. Be strong! :hug60: |

so glad the surgery is over and she is doing ok ! Sending prayers and hugs |
Michelle is having a better day today. She is up and walking around (baby steps). I even got to speak to her briefly on the phone. Her head, neck and throat are still swollen and she still has a pounding headache but considering all she has been through she is doing great. The nurses are really amazed at her progress. My sil sent me a sweet picture to my cell phone of Michelle sleeping with her teddy bear. It made me feel good to see a picture of her. I know it is all the wonderful prayers from all my Yorkie friends and Michelle's church that has gotten her through this. Michelle is a strong woman and she will get through this with all our prayers. Thanks so much. |
Sounds good thus far I think of you all daily....sending prayers your way....to recovery...think positive.....she is going to beat these headaches.... |
So glad to hear that today is a better day for Michelle. May her improvement continue to surprise the medical professionals - God is Great |
I am so glad she is doing better. I think about her sometimes throughout the day. |
Ya'll are all so sweet. All your kind words mean so much to me and Michelle. I want to give you all a big hug. :ghug: |
Glad to hear that there is a slight improvement. Even "baby steps" are welcomed, aren't they. It's so hard to understand the "why." When our daughter was 6 yrs. old she had a benign tumor the size of a small cantaloupe taken out of her chest. For three wks. we were told it was a fast growing malignant tumor. All I wanted was for it to be me and not our daughter. I'm sure it must feel like a nightmare that you just can't wake up from. I look back at our experience and that is the way I remember feeling. Hugs and prayers. Joanne |
My youngest daughter, Melissa drove me to see Michelle today. Michelle looked great. You just don't know how good it was to see her and to see her doing so well. Her hair is already starting to grow back and she really looks cute with no hair. She was a regular chatter box and told me many stories of what all she has been going through and what she had seen when she was getting ready to go into surgery. We walked around a little bit. She is taking small steps but she moves out pretty well. The doctors continue to be amazed at her speedy recovery. Michelle has a huge zipper scar from the middle of the back of her head all the way part way down her neck. Her neck and throat are still swollen but she said it was much worse a few days ago. Her throbbing headache is gone and her vision is much better. I know she still has a long haul ahead of her but we are all optimistic that she will beat this. I just spoke to Michelle and she is now home......YEAH!!!!!! She said they were frantically trying to clear out the hospital because of the storm coming. Michelle will have to go back in two weeks to be checked out. We do know they will do another cat scan or mri and then decide if she will need radiation. We will continue to pray that she will heal and grow stronger each day. It has been amazing and it is all because of everyone's support and prayers. Thank you all so much. |
